Have you ever been blocked?
It’s never happened to me until today.
So, I am merrily enjoying an exchange of mails with a couple. All looking fine. Then comes the point of exchanging face pictures? So, I go first with the assurance theirs will be returned? But, yes you’ve guessed it! They didn’t!
Instead of ignoring me or just saying no thanks, they blocked me? I can only assume they recognise me or even know me?

Could be, or there may not have been an attraction for them and they simply want to avoid exchanging messages with the same people in the future. It can be for a number or reasons. But there are plenty more couples out there. |

I've only knowingly been blocked twice, once was because I didn't reply fast enough to his first message, the other one was someone who messaged me claiming to be single and I was like, this is awkward but I know both you and your lovely wife |

I love finding out people that I have never ever exchanged a word with have blocked me! That makes me laugh though never take it to heart just except that I don't fit what they are looking for! |

"Always best to send your face pic with the first message, if there's no attraction it saves your time."
This is our approach and dont worry about being blocked, people have different reasons for why they block people. We have been told still possible to message if you have blocked someone if you have replied to their first message. Not sure if that is true or not though! |

...or simply didn't find you sexually attractive and took the less confrontational route of blocking.
It happens. |

Why worry its not as if a no thanks is going to get you a fuck!
If people are not attracted no matter what they say it makes zero difference you at not going to meet so the block button saves time. |

It does seem rude if you've been chatting with someone and they block you without explanation.
Otherwise don't see any issue with blocking or being blocked - it just means you're not compatible for whatever reason. |

I think the morph from hot to hot mess response when you've turned hopeful meets down have made some decide on a block without further contact approach. Can't say I blame them. |

"How do you know when you’ve been blocked?"
When you click on a profile and you get a message telling you you can't view it. Could be because you blocked them or they blocked you |

I suppose less confrontational is one way of putting it.
Cowardly and rude is another.
On our couples profile we have politely replied saying not our cup of tea but good luck. Never had anyone not take the rejection gracefully. |

Someone did that to Miss C the other day. He got the reply from me. At which point he stopped being quite so brave.... |

When you go to view their profile you get a message suggesting that you might be blocked or you have blocked the person.
You are one sexy lady I would never want to block. |

Been blocked a couple of times that I know of.....
I made a stupid comment on a post which I apologised for instantly but led to a block.
And the 2nd one still baffles me, met her on multiple occasions, chats, socials & play then poof gone ghosted blocked across all formats just gone.
Such is this wonderful world.... |

I was reading a thread the other day and clicked on OP to nosey and bam I can’t view profile but no reason just said you can’t view this profile why? With no reason. Weird when I have never spoken on here or otherwise and when green arrowed was only one thread she’d created or commented in. Weird. |

They were probably intending to friend you and blocked you by mistake. I can't imagine anyone who has met you blocking you. |

I have been blocked for sending a polite email - sometimes it’s annoying as I would respect a simple no thank you. Tbh if I do get a no thanks I normally put a note that not interested in playing
Sometime I don’t know why I have been blocked. Sometimes I think it’s based on a forum thread or a reaction to something I have said. A couple I had met socially, got on well nearly got to play with blocked me for no reason. Never knew what I did wrong
It’s part and parcel of the site. Sometimes I wish I could maybe find out why someone has blocked me but at the end of the day that is their choice |

Yes.
But only by 1 or 2 people, that know that I'm too far to likely meet, so it makes fab more streamlined for them when communicating on here (and who they've spoken to etc.).
It wasn't anything personal. |

"Happens all the time no-one says a polite no thanks anymore"
Because people don't take rejection well. Many profess to being polite and respectful and would NEEEEEEEVER be rude, but the reality is often variations of...didn't want to fuck you anyway you fat slag: you were just marginally better than a wank! |

We got blocked by a single guy this week.. what heinous crime did we commit?
We were sat at home, full of the flue, snuggled up on the sofa and I check fab and see a guy has told us he’s free to travel or accom that very night! (we’ve exchanged 2 messages with this guy 2 months before)... Obviously, we were expected to jump at the chance, arrange a baby sitter, get showered, dressed and drive the 50 minutes to his.. but foolishly I replied “no thanks”.. He later replied telling us we were blocked for time wasting...
There’s certainly some odd ones on here! Lol |

"We've been blocked many, many times. As I've mentioned before a guy once left the site on seeing our fizzogs.
And it seems you block others for sometimes unknown reasons ??"
Blocking is just a tool to stop direct communication, so reasons don't really need to be explained, as that would involve direct communication! |

"Happens a lot. Been blocked off first messages, after chatting for ages & even after a number seemingly successful meets. The trick is to not question it or tear yourself apart over it & move on."
I’ve blocked someone after a meet. Not immediately after, some months later when I realised he was never going to stop reappearing and pestering me otherwise. The meet was very far from successful, it was an absolute disaster, but he seemed to think it was great and however often I told him I didn’t want to see him again, he’d start creeping on my profile or winking after a couple of months and it was stressing me out. |
