I’ve had conversations recently with friends re the meaning of ankle bracelets. I’m told they indicate the wearer is either a hot-wife, into Black men, both plus other associations. However no one was able to definitively state how to identify what the wearer might be into, or whether it was being worn as a fashion accessory.
So the question is what are the clues (if any) to make identification easier. |

"I wear one permanently despite not being either of the things you mention. I'd never heard of this until I started using the forums. "
Neither had I, I always considered them fashion accessories so I’m a bit bemused by what I’ve been told. |

I guess it's good I don't go to clubs as I guess I'd always be explaining that it's just cos it's cute and my bf likes my feet to look nice |

"my daughter and most of her friends wear them all as fashion accessories"
Ours too, but not with MFM or HotWife on them! Christmas is coming though, we've a few parties coming up, where's the best source for something appropriate for the missus (she LOVES DVP, hasn't quite managed DAP)? |

The vast majority of women that wear anklets do so because they are nice to wear and have no idea about any connection to swinging.
The anklets i make however are pretty clear in showing they are swinging and hotwife related. I have some in pics showing in my profile. |

I've always worn one since my teens, my first was a shell/coral one bought on holiday.
The one I wear now is part of an Infinity set, a piece of the set bought everyday Mothers day by my children.
It's only meaning is the infinite love we share.
Absolutely no sexual meaning to it whatsoever |

Thanks to everyone who has posted on this topic. As I suspected, fashion accessory is the primary reason for wearing this item, and as for the rest, tread very carefully would seem to be the appropriate action to take....... |

" tread very carefully would seem to be the appropriate action to take......."
This exactly. Even people like myself that wears them regularly would still tell you to be very careful approaching anyone wearing one. But a simple complement to the woman might let you know by her reaction.
Unless of course they have one of my anklets I make which are very obvious in their meaning |

"I wear mine on the left.
It means I take it up the ass. "
I wear mine on the right. If any of my customers ask me what ankle to wear them on I just tell them whatever ankle feels nices for them. |
