In Your Hearts

We recently visited a swingers club in London. As we were leaving, we were asked to post a post a 'Fabulous' review which will entitle us to a free entry to the club next time.

We thought that defeats the purpose of a review system.

Has any other member come across this?

Question is, can we take any 'Fabulous' rating seriously?

I got to lots of different clubs and have never been asked to do this.

I am sure that if people didnt like their visit an offer of a free trip back isnt going to help them leave a good review.

village between York and Hull

We have been asked to leave a review on fab by a club but they said just be honest, which we were. Offering free visits etc. is just wrong.

London

Not that happen to us, but then we think most clubs would know better than to do that with us.

We have owners come and ask us 'Are you that couple that do the big reviews on line'

'Yes...'

'Erm okay, so what do you think then...'

And we then normally have a conversation with them about their venue, what we think the positives are and what the negatives are and sometimes there aren't any. Some people will then way lyrical to us about all the improvements they are going to make, and some people do make those changes, some don't and they wonder why their club is half empty on a weekend. It's a very competitive business these days.

You have to know what you can realistically offer people with what you have, and know what people from the scene you want to attract and set your prices right accordingly.

You have to treat any review (Including dare we say it, ours) with caution anyway - because what we like, you may not and while plenty of reviews are honest, some are not, and some are more personal than they need to be.

We just did a review for a club on here, and its a great review, but we still have one gripe with the venue and we mentioned it, but also made it clear its something that may not bother alot of people.

If your going to do a review just always be honest about it.
