I assume you mean dermal piercings?

They can be great but need to be treated carefully. The waist isn't the best place for them as they will be constantly caught while wearing skirts, trousers, suspender belts etc etc.

I have a dermal in my cleavage.

I personally couldn't get one on the waist, as the previous poster said they can catch on waistbands etc. I've caught mine a couple times on necklaces and underwear and it's a bugger!

Healing wise just clean and leave it alone. And realise they have a high chance of rejection in the first few weeks.

I've had a few dermals. One still in my back.

I hope you know their rate of rejection is huge. In a high movement area like your hips it is likely they will reject.

They're pretty though. More painful than a regular piercing.

If its in a tattoo, it can remove the ink.

But I know what you mean. I've had piercings I know will reject in DAYS (corset piercing) but they're pretty and I know/accept the risks.
