A spade is a racist term for a black man and the phrase queen of spades refers to a lady who has a preference for black men. Tbh is a bit shallow and more than a bit racist.

I know and I kind of agree but a black guy I saw quite a few times wanted me to get a queen of spades tattoo but I refused. Not because of the racist connotation but because it had an element of "ownership" about it which I didn't like.

Gosh it is exciting!!!

Who will win the title of Fab’s Biggest Racist...?

There’s certainly plenty of competition.

The judging criteria needs to include:

- use of racist language

- stereotyping

- hypersexualising black men

- comments about black men’s penises that were popularised during slavery

Let me know who wins*!!!

*so I can be sure to block them.

I think the OP saw the recent QOS thread and is seemingly a Chubby Brown fan is trying to be all controversy and fearless about saying what they want.

A bit sad really, I genuinely hope the black members of this site don't take offence to this, there's NO positives to this type of tattoo, it's a disgusting and vile term in this day and age and I personally think those tattoos could be removed or covered.

What next "who likes my new swastika tattoo" or "I'm a fan of Nigel Farage should I get his initials tattooed with a Union Jack.

Get a grip people it's 2020 FFS!!

Black hypersexuality was a colonial stereotype to dehumanise black people, turning them into objects and comparing them to animals. It’s easier to sell, beat and kill people once they’re not really human anymore.

So, my darling hard-of-thinking Fabbers, you can claim it isn’t racist all you like. It is. And you are.

Oh FFS...

Being called black isn;t racist, you're right. 'Miss Black America' by Curtis Mayfield, for instance, isn't a racist record. However, reducing people to a stereotype defined by racists (e.g. that al balck men are hypersexual and have big cocks) absolutely is racist.

BBW is translated as Big Beautiful Woman...now that's very complimentary,as we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it can be used liberally,

BBC however is just relating to the appendage - the cock! Black people see it as a compliment on size but if it's stripped down it takes no consideration of or tries to humanise someone.

Just a "big black cock"

Imagine the uproar If BBW was changed to BWC

Big White Cunt.

It's just about looking a bit deeper than stupid sayings it acronyms that most people don't understand. Most people that don't mind are in their local cackling and smoking over their pint of bitter, usually claiming it's their country and they'll do what they want.

What's there to ponder? Being sexually attracted to a person doesn't mean you have to be romantically attracted to that person too? Isn't that the whole philosophy behind swinging couples.

"Like mine."

Yup. Having that tattoo just screams ignorance to me and most of the time through this site I've seen the female half of a white couple have that tattoo. Why are you not with a black man if you like to have sex with black men so much or is that too much for you in your group of racist friends and family?

Reducing a person to being a thing for your use is what is disgusting and that's why I have an issue with the connotation behind QOS or BBC.

Ever tried to explain that tattoo if people asked about it that didn't know what it was? How about those that did know what that was? Just tacky af

"BBW is translated as Big Beautiful Woman...now that's very complimentary,as we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it can be used liberally,

BBC term makes me laugh tbh. I've seen white mens cock bigger than black mens. Why dont we use the term BWC more often "

Because we live in a racist society where being white is assumed to be the norm and black people are routinely othered? WHo'd have thought it eh?

Some of what you write resonates with me, however not all black people regard the term BBC as a compliment. I for one find it as offensive as the word ‘nigger’ and have said so often in this forum. The idea of being reduced to a walking talking appendage is repulsive to me but I’m not sure if I’m in the majority or minority amongst black people or white people for that matter. I hate to judge and I have no idea why any woman would wish to be regarded as the Queen of Spades with what that implies, but as someone said, to each their own.

Essentially, I suppose people accept what they are comfortable with and this is hardly the site to criticise anyone’s sexual preference, but I would support any movement that saw the term BBC relegated to the television company only, and Queen of Spades confined to a deck of playing cards.

Lemmy wrote a song about a fucking card game. Involving an actual ace of spades card. Ffs spade is such a pathetic, antiquated, racial slur that it's dropped out of common use. Trying to explain why calling black people spades isn't OK is like trying to explain why owning slaves isn't OK. This is supposed to be far in our past.

If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man

You win some, lose some, all the same to me

The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say

I don't share your greed, the only card I need is the Ace of Spades

The Ace of Spades

Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil

Going with the flow, it's all a game to me

Seven or eleven, snake eyes watching you

Double up or quit, double stake or split, the Ace of Spades

The Ace of Spades

You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools

But that's the way I like it baby

I don't wanna live for ever

"Curious to know who can claim to be the Queen...of the Queen of Spades?

Bit of fun...sevral eligible profiles...i wonder who can stake a claim for the 'title'...

I know I'm blonde lol but what's queen of spades x

A spade is a racist term for a black man and the phrase queen of spades refers to a lady who has a preference for black men. Tbh is a bit shallow and more than a bit racist. What tosh, "

No, it's not 'tosh' in the slightest.

(Middle aged black man, well aware of the term's racist usage historically)

Wow, I think there's some Jewish people you need to have a go at for banging on about some little German bloke...I don't think many of us realised racial slurs expired after a length of time and we can all use them again.

The ignorance is very strong on this thread."

You've completely missed my point. What I was saying was that spade is a racial term that has all but dropped out of existence because the time when it was seen as OK to use it is some time ago. Its still not OK. I was saying the opposite of what you think I was saying. I won't comment on ignorance but I will just say I'm Jewish.

Peace out

You did but there's no need to apologise, it's easily done on here. I absolutely wasn't saying what you thought and I'd challenge anyone who said racial slurs were OK to use ever under any circumstances. Time makes no difference, it's wrong and always will be. All good, buddy

thank you _arkman for writing this, because its normally me who gets slaughted (normally in pm because they dont want people to know in public) for saying something akin to this...

I always have said the irony is they are probably turning off as many of the people try are trying to attract.... but until that message finally gets across nothing is going to change...

and for those of you wondering "hmm sitting on the fence a little here" ... let me ask you to conduct an experiment

next time you chat with a black person you don't know very well, drop the term "spade" in there....

what do you think the reaction might be? im just curious.....

The other day Piers Morgan made a racist twat of himself on TV. He could have made the point he was making, which was about a member of the British royal family advertising milk in China without ridiculing the Chinese language. He chose not to.

As Darkman says people's sexual preferences are their own. But it's possible to have and express a desire for afri-carribbbean men without calling them spades or using the term BBC. It really, truly is. It isn't necessary. And that's what makes me uncomfortable, the asserted need to use these terms disguised as "just expressing a preference". Nah. Not buying it. I call bullshit.

SOME black men. There are posts above by two black men who've expressed how much they dislike the term. Did you read their posts at all?

Yes. Which he's got from not allowing himself to be stereotyped and racially abused. So... What do we learn from this?

"Er... two. Yeah. Pretty representative I'd say"

This is like arguing about whether cancer is a bad thing!

I'm a black male, and within the black community the word is offensive as the n word.

I suspect the black men who are ambivalent about it's use in this community are being expedient as it enables them to have gratuitous sex with (some) people, they wouldn't be jumping for joy if they were called a spade in the local pub.

As far as I am concerned the Queen of spades is a playing card quite useful to have with the Queen of Diamond , Hearts , Clubs.
