Personally if i see dirt and mess it reflects on for me on their personal hygiene. Whether or not that is a true reflection but just naturally it just makes me think that way. Plus i think about how my pics look and take time to composite ones that look nice. Quick pics with poor backgrounds suggests lack of thought.

Along similar lines, family photos in background which would be recognisable to anyone who knew the family. And it's utterly beyond my comprehension how some people think it's appropriate to take adult photos of themselves amongst kids' toys, or worse, in what's obviously a child's bedroom.

I dont get why people do this.

Something I learned in photography is the point of the subject is for the viewer to look at the subject and nothing more. All the crap in the background just makes the eye wander elsewhere..

...oh and the subject is a lazy sod as well

Really? I don't have much money so most of my furniture is either second hand or basic Ikea. I live in a rented flat so all the walls are magnolia. I try my best to brighten the place us with nice bedding and cushions and things but it's pretty basic. I don't see that's much of a reflection on me. I have more control over my personal appearance than the appearance of my home.

Worst thingni found was a couple who took close up pics and when i got to their house they were clearly hoarders

Was a thin path from the libingroom up to the bedroom and the bed surrounded by things in boxes and piles of clothing etc

Looked clean what i could see but sooms on the way to their bedroom were clearly blocked and not accessed in years

I am very judgemental when I see an untidy environment or a bed or sofa pic with a cooker and kitchen in view. Bedsits are not a place for me to visit and high rise flats..

Stairs without carpets are a no and those people who do DIY and live in chaos for years on end.. I prefer professional people with tidy homes

I don't have carpet in the lounge or the bedroom, but I do vacuum and mop. My floor is probably cleaner than yours.

People wonder why others get a complex about being unworthy, about not being good enough or failing at life. Fuck, I work my arse off to pay my bills.

Would I like to be able to splurge on carpets? Of course, but don't go making people feel bad for stuff they can't afford. That's shitty.

Your carpets are clean, walls painted nicely and you are nicely presented but one warning.. those carpets are very distinctive.. anyone who sees those carpets will never forget them. They are like a tattoo and could be used to identify you. The landlord might be on here. My advice.. Paint out the carpets in these pictures like some people paint out distinctive tattoos.. happy fabbing
