I like to think I am a nice all round guy
I have posted meets to say that I am in a hotel two days a week up to Christmas in the Milton Keynes area and if any couples or singles fancy a social drink (it is Christmas afterall...lol) to see where it leads
Is this the best approach or are hotel meets a bit taboo? |

Some will be OK with it, some not. If you keep yourself available and online in the evenings you might get lucky and receive one of those spontaneous 'are you free now' messages. It happens! Good luck! |

This guy might be working in the area and having to stay away from home so booking into a hotel allows him to do so. I did not see the part where he said he had booked a hotel with the sole purpose of meeting people for sex, he is just letting people know that he has a place to go should anyone be up for meeting him . |

Well then state that otherwise i stand by its presumptuous.. if he just looking for social then theres no need to even mention a hotel until any contact made  |

Read the op. There's nothing to suggest he's booked the hotel for two days a week until christmas just for the purpose of sex. Some people like to see the negative in everything. |

 I read it the same way as you - my immediate assumption was that he's probably there for work...
....I used to do similar on the odd occasions when I was staying in a hotel for a few nights doing training courses... |

Yes this does happen!! Was really taken by surprise one evening in Warrington. Within an hour of making initial contact on here we were sharing a drink in the bar. Another hour later we were in my room. Didn't think it happened but it does thankfully |
