The mwhswom (men who have sex with other men) category is one of the highest risk groups. The "fabstraights" if you like. They don't consider themselves high risk as they're not gay or bi, they don't get tested, and are usually married/in long term relationships. Often targeting TV's as it feels less gay. What the OP is getting at is that the LGBT community are, in general, out about their lifestyle and thus tend to test regularly, whereas a higher proportion of MSM are less likely to test due to the secretive nature....and a fair proportion of these being married/partnered men. |

And while we're obviously grateful to the OP for sharing his exclusive wisdom it's possible to do it without being unpleasant and judgmental. I've experienced the other side of this. Men leading double lives, desperately unhappy but refusing to abandon the people they've made commitments to. Plenty of men would never suck a cock in a lay by but will happily walk out on their families. The STI risk is present in any unprotected sex between any people. Why shame one group of people? Why judge them. Its just uncalled for. |

You are making a couple of major assumptions, namely 1) thinking that the guys you know are still maintaining some sort of sexual relationship with their partners 2) that they are not taking the same precautions with a male as they would with a female.
Aside from that, any male who indulges in same gender sex cannot reckon to be straight. |

In terms of here and sex yes you are. It's just a term people use. But the reason there is legislation in place to give gay lesbian and bisexual people equal rights is because they must be entitled to love and marry who they want. It's not to do with sex at all. There's no rights for the likes of you and I or the numerous men like us. We're just hetero folk who like to mix it up a little. It's fun |
