In my experience on here, just about everyone I have talked to lives in a different place to where their profile says they do, and again pretty much everyone raises a smile when both parties reveal their true location! 
I've recently though seem to take real offense to me saying where I do live, which did suprise me somewhat.
How about you guys and girls, have you had anyone get offended in this manner? |

no...seems odd unless you are miles out. We used to put prudhoe, which no bugger knew Now we put Hexham, the actual village we live in has about 60 people, so we prefer not to put it, and no one would have a clue where it was. |

Like many others on this site I'm sure,we chose our nearest big town,as there's two villages in our county with the same name and nobody's heard of either of them!!! No angry people so far!! |
