Ive noticed a few people on this site where it states in their profile that they will only meet with others of a certain sexual orientation... for example a girl will only meet straight men. What i dont understand is how a bisexual man could be a deal breaker for some women, and vice versa, gay guy turning down a bisexual man. If a woman meets with a man and its purely a 1 on 1 meet, how is his sexuality any issue to the woman? I can understand certain things like the guy wanting to get pegged or fingered etc. But if those activities were off the table and the guy is happy with that, wheres the problem? It would still be a heterosexual meet between 2 people, and if the guy was bisexual but no info was given on that fact and they met up, had a good time etc. You wouldnt know the difference. I dont know... some people just make no sense at all

Maybe some women just don't want to go there with a guy who had sex with other guys (they might be avid blood donors)

As the female of the couple I am bi and not currently looking to meet men of any preference.

However when I did meet men I didn't care about the sexual label just if there was an attraction.

Thats exactly my thinking too, its just a label at the end of the day and regarding what Ember said

I understand that being a reason but it seems rather silly in my opinion, kinda like the old playground bullying "ew you got cooties"... and a guy may be bisexual but that doesnt mean hes ever been with a guy, so some women are just limiting their options over something that seems trivial, especially if the guy ticked all her boxes and could have a great time together

That's true, but if someone said they were bi, I would assume (rightly or wrongly) that they had been with a guy. I'm not saying this would bother me, I tend to judge people on their merits but I can understand why it might bother some people.

Well if he was it was ill thought out.

You have to tick a box that says you've never had sex with a man who's had sex with another man.

They don't ask if you've had sex with someone who's had sex with a black person or if you've sucked someone off who's had sex with a BBW.

You might not like to hear it but that's definitely the first thing that springs to my mind.

If you'd said you wouldn't have sex with someone who had sex bare, fair enough, from a risk pov. But not having sex with someone because they've had sex with someone of a certain ethnic group sounds bigoted.

I can understand not being attracted to a certain ethnic group, like i have zero attraction to any middle-eastern, asian, oriental men, but if i met someone who had sex with any of these ethnics group it wouldnt phase me in the slightest, i just dont focus on that part of their past or get turned off by the thought of them going at it. Even if i were to meet a woman who had sex with a particular person who i find downright revolting, i dont let that ruin the opportunity for an enjoyable experience with someone who clearly i enjoy being with, after all i wouldnt be going to have sex with them if i didnt, so why should i let past events ruin that for either of us. I can understand that ppls minds work differently but it doesnt help to change your persoective how your mind ticks, it may bring things into your life you werent expecting or have memorable experiences youd have otherwise missed. Openmindedness and tolerance go a long way. But you do you as long as it doesnt hurt anyone

Double standards? The bi man may only want to play with couples, as having a lady present changes the dynamic of the meet.

Or may not be attracted to men, but enjoy the company of TVs, and doesn't try to convince himself it's straight sex because his partner is dressed as a woman.

That's the problem with labels...

Yes and many women only want to play with straight men and straight couples. Nothing wrong with it, purely preference. Not all these bi male profiles are looking for MF couples and TV, they explicitly say they do not want gay men.

The point is gay men are not on these forums bleating every 5 minutes they are being discriminated against unlike bisexual men who themselves are stating preferences. I could not give a damn who likes what, just stop complaining on these forums it is all we see all the time. Get your own houses in order first bi men

"Ive noticed a few people on this site where it states in their profile that they will only meet with others of a certain sexual orientation... for example a girl will only meet straight men.

I have not seen one profile on here of a gay man rejecting bisexual men but seen plenty of bisexual men directly or indirectly reject gay men on their profiles. Bisexual men cry they are being rejected by women for their sexuality yet they reject gay men for their sexuality. Double standards

Get your own houses in order first bi men "

Thought we was allowed to talk about any topic on the forums. Lots are repeated over again. Don't participate if you can't get a grip on your emotions! You're looking a reet bully now sweetheart!

Why get bent out of shape about the people who won't meet you because of your sexuality/gender/body type/whatever when there are plenty of others who will? It's a waste of energy.

i find these questions all a little academic.

Whatever label anyone attaches to their profile, straight, gay or bi, no-one knows their sexual history, their kinks, or whatever.

Yes, it may be a useful guide. But it is no guarantor of the truth.

It is a website for swingers, after all.

Exactly.

You may as well ask people to complete a questionnaire on their entire sexual history

Concentrating on the negatives will surely bear negative results.

The smart searchers will look for the positives and concentrate on them

There's someone on fab for everybody, not everybody for someone.

Differences in opinion, differences in PREFERENCE... differences in perspective, everyone will be different on the spectrum in some way or other, but if theres one thing i think we should all agree on is that you can NEVER tell whats inside from face value, verifications are just a way to know if someone is genuine, thats all, and ppl can hide the ones they dont want other ppl to see. You can never know about someones entire sexual history, thats how ppl end up getting STDs. Another thing we should all agree on is that nobodies experiences should be considered fact. Theyre youre experiences so saying that no gay guys have ever turned down a bisexual man is just naive, ive seen it myself, but i also know a lot of gay guys would happily sleep witha bisexual man, probably the majority cos theyre a right randy bunch

Having an open mind to all kinds of possibilities goes a long way and sadly i think too many ppl in this day and age are still lacking in that, and that extends well beyond the world of sex

I thought he was using irony in relation to the previous comment about not having sex with bisexual males because of their previous male partners.

I was underlining the hypocrisy of those who won't meet bi men because the thought of 2 men together is abhorrent to them. Fab is full of bigots who'll try and convince themselves and us that it's just their preference...

I am a bi man who goes to just about every bi party going in the UK. I have met literally thousands of bisexual men. I doubt there's any two of them that could say had exactly the same character, viewpoints, behaviours etc.

Yet on these forums I am constantly hearing that bi men do this bi men do that. So what side do bi men part their hair on? What's their favourite colour?

It's funny how racism is defined as assuming a person's characteristic based on their skin colour. It's socially unacceptable. Yet to attribute a characteristic to an entire demographic of men based on their sexual orientation is totally acceptable.

It's not about logic. It's not even about emotion. It's about following the rest of the sheep in which prejudices are politically correct and which aren't.

"Maybe some women just don't want to go there with a guy who had sex with other guys (they might be avid blood donors) "

Absolutely. We agree owing to me having insecurities theres no way I want my man in a threesome with me and a guy who may be attracted to him. Only I play. He does not play with male or female and some people may try to make that happen or tempt. So therefore it preference is straight guys only each to their own. Good luck to bi folk though. There are plenty of couples on the site that feel differently to us.

Who knows what goes on in the noggins of others.

Maybe they worry their poonani will feel slack compared to a gentleman's poop chute.

Maybe they worry they'll get the finger pointed at them by those who think it's wrong.

Maybe the thought of 2 men together turns their guts and they want nowt to do with those that practise that kind of "perversion"

Maybe when they got tested at the GUM clinic and they ask if you have sex with bisexual men and offer the hep jab, it put the fear in them so they stay away.

It's down to each individual as per their own reasons. Some will be bigoted I'm sure, but all valid to each and to be respected as a choice, even if not one that may make any sense to others.

I've just been fabbed by a guy whose profile openly states his HIV status.

In my time on Fabdwingers I've never seen a profile openly warning anyone they they are uncertain of their STD status or that they are recovering from an STD. And trust me they are doing the rounds.

Not saying all bi/gay men are honest and hetrosexual people aren't. Just saying the converse isn't true either.
