Hi All, apparently it appears I was too late to post a message on the original topic?
Like others I have also encountered a bad experience on the site.
Unfortunately, within the forum rules I am not allowed to "name and shame". Nevertheless, I will at least hopefully prevent someone else making the same mistake as I did. After a number of shared messages / chatting a FS member offered to forward some erotic pics of his partner. All I had to do was send him my email address. Yes you have guessed it, stupidly I did just that. Once I sent him my email address, needless to say, that was the last I ever heard from him. However, surprise surprise, I am now receiving up to 100 automated sex emails per day to my email address!!! In line with the FS advice I have blocked the user and also reported him to Admin. Admin have not replied to me so am no wiser of any followup or not. Although not allowed to do so within this forum, if anyone would like to PM me I am more than happy to give you his Fab A/C name......any thing that helps discredit the slimeball will be great for us all. NB Admin, if by any chance you are also reading this, then I will be extremely grateful for some sort of response to my original report to you!!! Thank you every one for reading this and I sincerely hope it helps to prevent any one else being as stupid as I was!!

You won't receive advice from admin about the action they've taken. My next post will detail how they deal with reports.
I'm sure you've realised this already but if you willingly supply your email address to people on the net there's a fairly good chance of will be used elsewhere. |

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |
