"Hi. I've started a good half dozen topics over the months and you are the first ever to reply. Thank you. "
My pleasure - not nice being ignored is it? I know how you feel - we are obviously not in the "club" on here? lol x |

Don't let it bother you OP.
Sometimes things will get missed or there may already be a similar thread.
I don't tend to start threads but often don't get direct responses to my posts.
If you think you have something to contribute,h just do it. |

Most of the stuff I post gets ignored, and all the stories I’ve posted too. But I don’t worry about it. I’ve met some lovely people through the forums and I quite enjoy just chipping in from time to time. |

I thunk we all get ignored from time to time. It's just the nature of forum postings.
Some times, others don't appreciate the genius of our humour or the prescience of our postings |

One thing i will say is that the people living in the uk seem to be friendlier to me(Im irish)
On the forums.
I think the users of this site in Ireland dont like newcomers and only talk to people in their club .maybe they are afraid of getting found on this by their neighbours or something.
So thanks to you for making me welcome and feel like i can fit in |

The way I look at it is that we’ve been hovering around the forums for so long now that we have just blended into insignificance. We randomly post in a jovial manner without being profoundly knowledgable or abjectly argumentative. We’ve just become the aunt and uncle that sits in the corner at parties that nobody really pays any attention to. |

"...who gets completely ignored on the forum?" can be quite cliquey on here sometimes but if you keep commenting on the forum posts and get yourself known it will change...it did for me.

And because of this, often other posters are intimidated with my brilliance, that's why most of my posts get ignored....I'm sure "

OP I feel ignored but then again I don’t comment on other people’s comments. So perhaps I am also guilty of ignoring people. That’s my Saturday resolution. Comment on other people’s comments. |

When I look at the list of threads I've written in I find I'm the last entry in nearly all of them! Wonder if this will be the same.... |

The thing is, is it being ignored or just that people don't feel the need to add further comment to what you have said?
For once in my life I'm going to agree with Mavis here and say that most people that feel "ignored" would feel very differently if there was a "like" button on posts.
It's the way of internet forums regardless of the topic that we all feel ignored or overlooked at times, when it can actually be many things that are anything but ignoring - perhaps a thread has just moved fast and your comment got lost, perhaps what you said was so profound it didn't need anything else being said, perhaps someone else said something similar or any number of reasons.
I checked your recent posts OP and of the threads you started all but one has comments on, but apart from this one you've not been back to any of them - are you ignoring the people that commented? I'm sure you don't think you are, but maybe see my point? |

If people didn't give their opinions the forum would be boring. |

I think you nailed it.
Should Fab have a like option?
I often don't comment, simply because it would just be affirmation of other posts. |

Thank you for your kind comments - whilst I can see the value of a "like" button for those that feel they are ignored, I personally am not sure actually having one would be a good idea for a couple of reasons...
Firstly it would become like a "pic Fab" for forum posts and you'd have countless single guys clamouring to "like" the posts of women in the desperate hope of getting attention regardless of how relevant the actual post was - which would then lead to threads from people moaning that their post didn't get many likes but hot woman no. 3 got loads for simply saying "I'm in"
Secondly is it really necessary to have some form of affirmation of what others have said just so they don't feel ignored? |

"...who gets completely ignored on the forum?"
Mine have been a bit hit and miss. Be got no replies, another was about the supernatural and got a few. My best one was asking people’s favourite cheesecake. I think something that that people can instantly connect with is the way forward. |

"...who gets completely ignored on the forum?
Who said that? "
Thats why I've never posted a thread like this as knew someone one would post this reply. I find this reply quite hurtful. If your already feeling, left out and ignored, for someone to confirm it in writing just adds to the anxity ( sp) of feelings "why am I being ignored and left out". I'm already over thinking as, no one has replied to my post.
For me Fem, I am very self confident in the bed/ club / hotel naked on a beach, as I'm an exhibishionst. But invisibal on forums. It hurts. |

I find I generally get quite a lot of contributions to threads I've started but about 70% of my posts on existing threads get ignored, yes. Quite often I kill threads too. Oh well, at least there's more ways than just the forums to communicate with people on here |
