Angry... when it’s a no thank you.

Why do people get so angry when you reply with a very polite, “No Thank you”,

My profile clearly states what I’m looking for and so when I say “thank you but not for me” or “very sweet, but no thanks, have fun”

They return with something nasty or get really shitty, are others experiencing the same thing ?

Normal - they throw out their dummy from the pram. They can't be bothered with reading a profile or even respecting a profile and when u say "Thanks but it's a no" the nasty msg's come flying.

Easy solution delete and no reply - Fab says u dont have to answer at all...

To be honest if you're getting answers like that you dodged a bullet in not meeting them in the first place.

Normal - they throw out their dummy from the pram. They can't be bothered with reading a profile or even respecting a profile and when u say "Thanks but it's a no" the nasty msg's come flying.

Easy solution delete and no reply - Fab says u dont have to answer at all..."

I've ignored and responded and I've had a guy harass nearly every day for over a week. Reported to admin today and blocked him too! It's really pathetic x

Very very common. It's why I pretty much always delete without replying. The entitlement is shocking. My favourite one is

It happens more often than not, sad indictment of far too many on Fab. Simply block and move on. When these sad people find that they are blocked by so many people and all that is left to meet is people just like them.

I wish they'd say no thanks instead of utterly ignoring my message or reading it and doing nothing !. It's hard enough for a single guy without being left hanging. Then there's those who chat for months and suddenly stop or keep avoiding the subject of actually meeting grrrrr

I have never been nasty on here and never will. If i get a "no thank you" i just reply back with a simple "no problem"

If you read the OP this explains why so many ladies don't reply. Personally we dont reply if not interested, that sometimes gets abuse for just not replying. Some really pathetic people on here.

This is why I don't reply to 95% of my messages.

They may be the nicest man going, but then they could be a complete twunt. I have no way of knowing which,, although some profiles give a vibe & those get an instant block.

I used to send polite, thank you but no thanks replies

Some of the abuse I got back, was vile.

I'm pretty thick skinned, it takes a lot to shock or upset me, but when you get 50+ times a day, it wears you down.

I actually agree. I know some say nobody else can ruin it for the genuine nice guys, but we would never meet single men off here, no matter how nice they appear.

Not getting a reply at all is not great as it leaves you hanging for a bit, but I came to understand that ladies (and couples) here get too many messages to deal with, so it is something you accept and move on. Good on you though for taking the time to send a short replies.

It is sad but remember these guys are the tiny minority, who have yet been unable to figure out this behaviour gets them .... nowhere! It's ok, they will eventually find themselves blocked by everyone in a 50 mile radius and give up

Not necessarily the minority. It is on the increase. Unacceptable crappy behaviour, even just one abusive message, is out of order.

Majority always seem to get angry at me (Beast) and blame and insult me when Brat rejects them.

She'll reject them for whatever reason and the reply is often "ok bro.." and then some shitty comments about how insecure I am that I won't let her have sex with him.

And it has got worse. When I joined as a single fem years ago I met a few lovely men off here. Relaxed, laid back, good conversationalists, respectable and understood the scene. The wankers have definitely spoilt it. Sure some decent men are out there but we are not going to meet them off here.

If you choose to reply, and the FaQs say you don't have to, block immediately after pressing send.

That'll stop the shite.

I think it’s nice to get a reply saying no thank you .manners don’t cost anything plus it polite and the right thing to do .people that have a little baby tantrum becouse they were turned down need to grow up.we all have our personal preferences and if we don’t meet them then that’s just the way it is .

A few years ago I was on as part of a couple, and on the day we joined we received a message from a guy, I replied politely "Thanks for the message, but it's a no, but good luck with your search." he came back with "Put your Mrs on, I was chatting with her the other day and she agreed to a meet." even when I explained that this is our first day on the site he argued and said we had been here for ages, I even sent him a screenshot of our profile showing we had only just joined, and he still argued, he got very abusive and threatening.

Learnt then it is best to block and move on.
