Has anyone used them? Are they any good?
Comments?"
Did you get one, if so which one and is it any good?
Anybody else had any success or otherwise with them? |

No, didn't get one - when the wife saw the cost of it we decided it was cheaper to shave daily |

Maybe get her vouchers for a beauty salon, where she can have the flashy light thing, aka laser hair removal? |

They use something called IPL which is different to laser but still light based.
They work by burning the hair root and thus killing it.
They work best on freshly shaven dark hair on white skin.
They do work and thin out the hair, but not as long lasting as salon laser. This is mainly due to the fact they are for domestic use and not as powerful. |

I have one, haven’t used it for a few years but found it very good. It really thins out the hairs if used once a week, I should really start using it again, as when I used it regularly, the hairs almost disappeared. Used to take about 40 mins to do underarms and bikini area. |

It’s a Boots iPulse, although has most likely been superseded by more recent ones. |

I bought one recently from a facebook ad, paid £39 for it in the black Friday sales. I've used it weekly for 4 weeks and noticed the hair thinning out, I have some patches that are hair free. I'm pleased with it, I wasn't expecting much but it's done more than I thought it would. |

Niki uses one - the more you pay the more powerful they are.
No ingrowing hairs, no stubble and no razor rash - they're worth every penny and cheaper than shaving in the long run - a fantastic investment if you're a smooth skin lover! |

Salons still use ipl, although a more powerful version than the ones for home use.
If you go to a salon you’ll go many more times than if you go to a private hospital such as Nuffield. That’s where I went and their machine is a proper laser that really does kill hair very swiftly. Less sessions but a higher cost. It’s six and two threes.
