Peterborough

I've posted this before, but what does it take, to get an invite to any event/meet up without getting rejected by being a single male?

Socials are supposed to be welcoming and cheaper than a club, but I've not had any luck.

Things I'm doing right: veri'd, club member, been on FAB for a year, got a regular partner here, posted and loads on these forums, chatted to various members, spell check a lot, made an effort with my pics, fancy dress outfits, set to impress.

Things I'm doing wrong: being a single male on week days, not wanting to go hard back, not willing to travel ridiculousness distances as time and money aren't limitless.

Any useful suggestions that are new?

Rant over.

Peterborough must be a dead scene. At least you’d think so with the amount of guys that message me from there

I presume that much like any other social event you just have to get your name down early so you're not bumped on to the reserve list

"I presume that much like any other social event you just have to get your name down early so you're not bumped on to the reserve list "

It is only partially true. Most socials do limit the number of single men. However, there are some where single men are either not welcome, just females and couples, or where it's not only limited number of places, but also any invites for single men are sent at the discretion of the organisers.

How true you are. I've been to the Leicester social with my partner, earlier this year. Club 27 was a let down. Chams is great but too far. Jaydees is my regular but, again cost is an issue. I just want a Peterborough based social that doesn't block single guys just for asking.

Obviously, I'm too fussy

Could you organise one yourself?

If the scene is as dead as you say it might be the first step into livening it up a bit. Just an idea.

PETERBOROUGH

Sadly I agree that the local scene around Peterborough seems very quiet at the moment. If anyone is thinking of arranging a local social then count me in!

Thanks Chloe, it's nice to know that I've got a good profile. The fancy dress pics seem to be the ones that get the thumbs up.
