Evening everyone out there in Fabland
So I have recently started seeing a girl who I have known for over 20 years. Back then, we weren't sexual with each other, but very close friends, and she had a clit piercing done. When she had her kids a few years later, she took the ring out and unfortunately it healed over (the piercing, not her pussy!) - Now she wants to have t re-done (her decision, not mine, no pressure from me) but everywhere on the south coast that she has contacted so far, say they wont do it, as it is now classed as FGM (Female Genital Mutilation - I had to look it up!) even if it is done with the consent of the person involved.
So my question is - Firstly, can anyone confirm if it really is illegal now, and Secondly, if it is not, can anyone recommend anywhere on the south coast (within an hour of Southampton) that still carries out this type of piercing?
Many thanks
Dave

Alot of places wont do actual clit piercings....rather clit hood etc etc. Getting your actual clit pierced is not recommended as the bloody supply can be affected.
I have a hood piercing. |

This from the Telegraph 2015:
Women with vaginal piercings will now be classed as victims of female genital mutilation (FGM), under new NHS rules.
FGM is an illegal practice where women and girls’ genitalia are cut or mutilated in the name of tradition, religion and culture.
But now any woman whose clitoris or labia has been pierced – even if it was entirely her own decision - will be seen as an act of FGM.

Basically a bunch of idiots getting all scared and confusing genital piercing with genital mutilation and the press incorrectly reporting things as usual.
Then legitimate piercers getting worried that they could get in trouble so to be 100% safe, not doing female genital piercings at all.
No piercers have been charged for FGM from performing a female genital piercing.
The Association of Professional Piercers has been working to correct things -

In the mean time, keep looking for a piercer who will do it - there are plenty about. |

I had mine done recently I had a VCH done rather than the gland... most places wont do the gland.
They can still be done but the piercer has to be registered with the local authority and it has to be fully documented, etc.
It is considered an act of FGM which is my mind is ridiculous. Especially when circumcision has less rules around it and far more dangerous than a piercing.
Basically if she has it done the most that will happen is someone will contact her from the NHS and ask her a few questions. Make sure it was her own choice, etc.
I went to my appointment on my own so the piercer could see I wasnt being forced, etc.
If you fancy a trip to cornwall I can highly recommend someone. But there is someone in Southampton as my friend had hers done up there but not sure who I can ask? |

Oh for gods sake!
Just use common sense, find a reputable piercer and talk to them about it.
I have a VHP (vertical hood piercing), and for me, I don’t regret any of it.
I did my research and got recommendations, and then went ahead with it.
From my findings, yes very few places refuse to pierce the actual clit, so for me I choose a VHP, so that the ball at the end of the bar rubs against my clit. I then increased the pleasure by replacing the curved bar with a straight bar, thus putting a little more pressure on the clit.... and I love it.
Hope you find the perfect piercing

Big confusion with clit and hood piercings, the clitoris has to be a certain size to accept a piercing which is rare, mostly are VCH piercings, which is what I have. |
