I would call it whatever you want to call it. Too many "it's my way or its not genuine BDSM" people about. Definitely sounds like kink, probably BDSM but different people have different definitions.
The question is not what it is called, it ia whether you are having fun, and it sounds as if you are.
Personally I prefer rope to cuffs but each to their own.
As for the whip, I can't imagine you have a bullwhip, so if it is snake whip the cracker is easily removed. Even with a signal whip. which has a braided in cracker it can be removed and replaced. Whip crackers are cheap online.

I use disinfectant sprays and wipes on machinery and props, soap and warm water on toys, and i use rubber sheet for bed or puppy pads for carpeted areas.

Although we have simular a dedicated room sounds bliss (wish our house was bigger to have one). It is BDSM in its loosest form. Dont worry about labels though. Just be safe and enjoy. Love to practice our skills out on some willing participants. |

I certainly would not boil my swead floggers at £120 the set, or pour bleach over them. Off to the ery cleaners they go.
Bdsm kinksters try to educate others in the way of safe, sane and consentual. We get shot down at times, I belive someone has already mentioned " if you don't do it my way, it's not the right way" however cleaning of equipment/ toys, is very differant than cleaning of swinging vinal beds.
For example. You goto the dentist. He sticks the little mirror and a probe in your mouth after wiping it with an anti bac wipe. He does not draw blood on you with it. How do you know, hes not deawn blood on the person befor you? It's not pourous, being metal. But you could have something in your mouth thats had blood on.  don't worry they put everthing in an auto clave at such high temps nothing survives.
Please, my advice is only to educate. It's upto you if you take it. Just now it might be an informed choice. |

Normal practice is to use whips and floggers on multiple partners providing skin is not broken.
The exception is where genitals are flogged in which case the floggers should only be used on one person.
It generally makes sense for submissives to have their own floggers to prevent possible infection.
There are threads on the site that cannot be mentioned about how to look after your kit.
If I am tying genitalia with organic rope I generally have the subs or bottoms buy their own, because it is a pain to wash, stretch and oil.
If I am playing in a club I use hempex or nylon rope which is easily washable.
The point of most whip work is not to break skin. However I have read that some people keep specific crackers for specific people. |
