help required on message recieved on f-b

hi
what are your views and how would you deal with this?
last week nik had a message via facebook from a lad we both know asking nik if she would like to join him and his girlfriend for fun.
its freaked nik out a bit as there no way thats just a random message.he must have seen pics on here.
i dont think he is doing anything malicious as he knows who i am and he obviously left his name.
nik said she should message him and say she doesnt know why he is asking her.i said not to do that as its too obvious
i said maybe ask him if she wants to meet on her own,at least that way him and her are involved then so less likely to say anything.another option is play with the pair of them but i doubt we'd do that.
any thought welcome... |

A possible way that he may have tracked down nik on Facebook is if you have exchanged msn or email address, and it's the same one she uses for Facebook, as there's a search option to find people via their email address.

i think if it was me i would say no thanks as i am sure u can appreciate my husband wouldn't like that and if they saw u on here why didn't they message u on here? |

And another side effect of this is that you've had to hide all your lovely pics on here too. Bugger....
But on a serious note I'd consider first who wouldn't mind meeting who before making contact though you probably already have. Then I'd say 'How come you're asking me on facebook lol?' If he hasn't seen and recognised you guys from pics on here then she can always say she meant why on facebook instead of over the phone as its a tad impersonal? But then one way or another at least you find out how he knew.... |

good point. Ever since i got traced on Facebook by a guy id only chatted to for a few days via my msn address, I use different email addresses for real and swinging worlds. In

he is someone we know,we havent given any facebook details to any one on here
all our emails and msn are seperate from our real lives.
he obviously saw a pic and recognised her.
i like the idea above of asking why are you asking me on here?

I have always kept the two worlds separate and by that i mean different hotmail addys.
My experience was that a guy found me on facebook and i had been speaking to him for a little while and he knew my real christain name only.
However, for where i live i come under a city that is an hour's drive away.
To this day i dont know how he found me.
I assume the facebook message was an invite message? |

i think it shows indiscretion and an inability to keep things in the appropriate place.
That doesn't bode well for me, so i would reply that i didn't think this is an appropriate conversation for facebook and unfriend him.
i have friends i have made through swinging on facebook, they would never dream of trying to use it to arrange a meet... |

people seem to missing the point that this is not a swinging friend or anything like that.this is someone we both know from messy all night clubbing nights.nik has known him for 10 years or more |

no i got that, what i was saying was that he needs to be told that there is a time and a place and facebook is not the appropriate place. |

We had been chatting to a couple on here for a while and exchanged pics and such, then one pic looked familiar checked f b account saw they were old school friends! Decided to ring them to cum clean and save any embarisment .
Was the best thing I could have done. Would recommend u do the same if there real friends and not f b friends.  |
