I didnt even read your profile and knew you clearly had a key word. So if I put elephant does that show I've read it....

If owioke want to read it they will. Or like me will do a quick scan for the keyword.

I read every profile before sending a message.

Not everyone responds to the messages. That in itself is useful information.

Judging by the messages I get. Men can’t read. All the wanking makes them blind

The question should really be

Do people read a profile a few times?

Reading it once is useless not much goes in....

I personally think keywords make it easier not to have read the profile ...

I'd perhaps not mention the elephant as it's OK if I don't... or does that make me a dumbo?

It's not that hard to read a peofile, but I would say make it a combination of words throughour your bio as alot of people have a keyword at the bottom of there bio, like 6/10 profiles that are real accounts I look at have a keywords at the bottom of there vio

Some people put too much on their profiles. Things like that disclaimer that is supposed to deter something is a waste of time. Lists are a turn off too.

I do read them, although I don't think it makes any difference at all.

Tend to not get that many replies whether I tailor a message to a profile or not.

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Judging by the messages I receive, yes profiles are read.

"I personally think keywords make it easier not to have read the profile ... "

Just skim read to the word.

On my profile I had just the sentence 'Put lawnmower as your message subject so I know you read my profile'.

No other text. Just that sentence.

I got 'lawnmower' titled messages.

mis-types and auto corrects leads cock leeds

My subject would be "hello".. it nearly always is, how else would I introduce myself.

I know your subject header says its ok to not use elephant, I don't believe keywords prove folk have read profiles.

I'm unsure if folk read mine given the messages I often get.

It's frustrating when you put as the first sentence of your profile that you can only meet weeknight evenings and people then ask for everything but.
