Our daughter had one when she was 18 when most of her social group were getting them . Perhaps it was peer pressure to fit in but anyway she got one and within a year was regretting it and has since had it removed by laser .
Why did she regret it ? Because when she went to Uni her particular social group wasn’t tattooed at all not even the men never mind the women and the course she was doing and the career path she was taking was such that a female having visible tattoos would be embarrassed and probably also at a disadvantage regarding career progression .
She has since said the thing she is glad to have avoided is having the thing on her arm when she is an ‘old lady’ ,her words not mine ! |
