I write a profile because I know that I tend to pass by those who make no effort to write one.
I’m looking for like minded people. So by that logic if I don’t try to explain who I am and what I’m looking for, I’d end up putting off the sort of people I want to meet!

Unfortunately reading profiles and responding accordingly gets pretty much the same response as not, so why bother indeed.
As others will rightly respond, standard response to every post, none of us are entitled to anything so just move along!
In my experience the numbers have increased and in general people are less courteous and more shallow in all respects. It’s getting harder to engage in cordial conversation let alone meet to see if there’s a spark that might lead to fun.

I wrote my profile so that people that can be bothered to read it, or are able to read it, can get a bit of an insight into what I like and for which I am looking.
Of course, many cannot be bothered to read more than one sentence, if that far, in the smae way they send one line messages, often abbreviated like "hows U" or "wanna fuck" which I generally ignore or reply with equally short answers like "fine" or "no"!
If people do bother to read my profile, they may find that I might just have a brain and not just be a total dick! After all, I even have some pics that are not all cock shots!  |

I would say in our experience genuine swingers take their time to write a good profile outlining what they’re in to and what they’re looking for. On the other hand you have the people that are just looking to save £20 on a prostitute and don’t bother writing them or reading other peoples profiles. |

Absolutely need a profile, every message I get, even from those I'm definitely not interested in. I will certainly read their profile and look at their photos. In quite a few occasions, I have replied to messages that I wouldn't have, because their profile was funny, engaging or matched some of what I'm looking for.
It's actually annoying to get a message off someone you quite like the look of, and find they'd written 'ask' or 'will complete later' ...I won't bother then |

Genuine folks read my profile and contact me if they think we’ll get on. I always respond to those messages. Asshats will stand out because it will be obvious they haven’t read my profile. They get ignored. It’s a great filter as sadly more people will ignore your profile than read it. |

I find fab a very confusing site lol.
I have what you call a basic profile,its not great but I wouldn't say it was awful,now I have spoke to members where they state "if your profile is only a few words with no effort then you're not for us" then you realise in some of they verifications the member they've met has two words on the profile,so very confusing.
But,as has been mentioned in this thread,sometimes you think what's the point. |

My profile is terrible. It always has been. I'm far better at expressing myself through conversation. Unfortunately you need a good one to get anywhere on here though
