So obviously a lot of us are only on here for sex. I also see a lot of profiles that back this up and say "not looking for anything more right now". Just got me wondering - what are people's different reasons for not wanting relationships? Are many singles on here open to dating and settling down?
For me personally I have a lot of change going on in my life right now and I'm trying to focus on myself and reach my own personal goals before I can commit my time and feelings to anyone. That being said, if I met someone I really liked I wouldn't be averse to pursuing something. Just wondering what others' personal experiences/situations are regarding nsa? |

I try to fill my life with as many different interests and activities as I possibly can. I work extremely hard and once I’ve discharged my responsibilities to my family and mates I’ll be jumping on a plane or getting out into the hills at the first opportunity.
This type of [selfish maybe] lifestyle isn’t compatible with what most people consider a conventional relationship. I don’t want to completely deprive myself of the excitement, the anticipation, the intimacy and the pleasures of pure physical contact that comes from spending time with a member of the opposite sex. But neither do I want to use a website that promises the potential of something more as I feel uncomfortable about putting myself in a position where I could be accused of leading someone on.
I think fab is the perfect compromise. I think people tend to speak more freely about their positions and their motives.
I appreciate that this is a fluid situation, after all nobody wants to be on their own for ever. Also, anyone would be foolish to rule out the possibility of a relationship developing from anyone you meet in any circumstances. |

When I joined fab I was very happily single.
I was loving exploring my sexuality and have a lot of fun.
I had no intention whatsoever of settling down.
Then I was perusing the forums one day and a guy caught my attention!
It was only going to be a casual "hook up".
We have no been in a committed relationship for 10 months and recently went on our first holiday together where he asked me to move in with him. So I'm very glad I changed my no relationship policy.  |
