Fortunately there are parties every weekend, maybe not in your area alone but through the UK.
Some are good and some are terrible but it will be worth your while attending different types. Don’t forget, parties can also be part of a weekend trip in Europe and even America as we experienced this year.
Bringing things back home, here are a few tips for your first time, based on our own experience.
Introduce yourself with the organiser and explain this is your first visit to their parties. Many organisers are great at introducing you to people and also making you feel comfortable.
Drink but don’t get d*unk.
Communicate with each other about your wants and boundaries.
Bring your care package. This would include; Condoms, wipes, breath mints (not gum) etc. Some parties may request you stow your bag but that’s fine.
Speak with as many people possible. If you are introverted by nature, try to communicate with at least one person or a couple, it’s good practice.
Do not expect an Eyes Wide Shut feel. We’ve attended a few parties like this but they are few and also expensive. Some organisers claim to offer this genre of dark party but present nothing of the sort.
Try mingling separately then touch base with each each.
Sex may not happen for you at every party, so be aware of that.
If it’s a dress-down party, buy new lingerie that stands out, look online to see what you don’t have in your collection. This same tip applies for men too.

Find out from the host what type of party it is before you agree to attend. Are there social only areas, what's the mix of people attending, dress code etc.
Never be afraid to say no or even leave, if it's a private house take host/ess gift. Even if you've agreed to stay over make sure one of you is sober and can drive or you have a way of getting home.
