Being verified, chatting in chat rooms and going on cam either on fab or using other methods such as Skype or kik does it for us, that's what we do anyway to prove we are genuine x |

If they have been photo verified they would have a green flag - if they have been in person or webcam verified they'd have a green tick.
Neither are absolute proof someone is genuine though - that can only come through a mixture of building trust via getting to know them in messages etc. and gut instinct.
It may also depend what you mean by genuine - is the person exactly as they appear in their pics is just one element - are they making claims that they can back up is another etc.
All too often on here when people bemoan fakes etc it comes down to not having done a level of due diligence and being blinded by the prospect of sex - when with a little bit of common sense being applied it could have been avoided. |

Oh I know and apologies if you thought that was in any way directed at you - was more a general comment.
All you can really do is make as many reasonable checks as you can, spend time getting to know that person before suggesting meeting and trusting your gut instinct to a degree - if it smells fishy it usually is fishy kind of thing |

I hate to say it proving yourself on here is very hard. I am very genuine ask me anything I’ll tell you. The problem is when people do talk to on genuine people (I find with women myself) that because other guys have be arseholes or abusive just not nice at all it’s puts those people on edge.
Best way is give that person a chance if there is a chance a meet could happen have a videos call. There’s plenty of apps out there but oh don’t need to use your phone number on. |

This is a debate I tried to have with a philosopher friend of mine once.
We believe we are real, but if we were part of a "matrix-style" virtual reality, the complexity of the programming would have us behave as if we were self-aware, and we wouldn't necessarily know if we really were or not. |

at the end of the day you will never truly know until the time youve been messed around .. there are fakes on here with veri's even photo veri's the forums are full of fakes as are the chat rooms ...go with you gut instinct and dont beat yourself up if you get it wrong every now and then and dont fall for the you must phone/email/kik rubbish to prove your real ..do what you want not what others want |
