I've just been reading on another thread that especially in swinging clubs, the majority of men will be taking viagra and that it's more of a 'sex toy' than a medicine.
I've never considered the effects of viagra before as I've never needed it, but if this is true I'm curious about trying it, if a little worried that taking it might have an adverse effect on my ability to produce an erection later in life without it.
To those who use it, how have you found the effects (long term as well as short) and is it worth a cheeky experiment?

All viagra does is thins your blood so it pumps round your body easier, hence getting you hard so it will not effect you errection in later life, you wont get to a point that if you use them your body will get used to them and stop getting hard without them if thats what your worried about, if you dont need viagra but using it spruce things up you dont need a full tablet, they come in 50mg and 100mg and my ex only used to take half a 50mg tablet and to be honest that kept him going all night as he didnt need then, all it really did to him was stopped him going soft after he cum so he could just carry on shagging, also makes you last longer between cumming, but if your like the typical 21 year olds ive played with before you can probaly go all night without cumming anyway lol |

I use V when I expect to party for the whole evening. It helps restore my erection later in the eve. Particularly helpful if I have already come earlier.
What V won't do is change your ability to climax a second or third time. |

A meal can have an effect on how they work, especially a higher fat meal. Alcohol also has an effect as does smoking!
Sildenafil citrate works by relaxing the walls of the arteries and veins, smoking and alcohol work in the opposite way. So, so-called social activities like eating, smoking and drinking will have some counter effect!
Also wise to check that you know the whole story! Poppers and the like taken at the same time as Sildenafil citrate can kill, as can the mix with other medicines! Check with you doctor that he would prescribe it for you.
Just being in close proximity to poppers when they are used can be enough to cause collapse!
Not of course that I use it! I don't need any help at all, but maybe I would take it jkust to see what it's like? |

Thats not how viagra works - its to do with the hormones or something which the brain releases to control the muscles which regulate blood flow to the penis. |

At the risk of asking a stupid question, aren't all these drugs prescription only in the UK? If you have no medical need, can you obtain it from sources that are trustworthy? What would put me off more than anything is not being 100% sure what was actually in that little pill in my hand.

Never done Viagra, but have dabbled in legal/herbal alternatives. Most are rubbish such as menhancer, zeus etc that you find in vending machines, might as well give the change to chaity. But the one called golden root is amazing. Best and cheaper bought in 10 packs online it does what it says. Taken about an hour before, it gives harder more sensitive erection and takes hardly any time to get hard again after cumming, effects last for hours. The ladies have no complaints either. We have both taken it and whilst recomended for guys, girls feel effects too |

If you dont need it then dont try it bit like smoking try it cause your makes were then bang doing 30 to 40 cigs a day, an wishing you never started,
I myself wouldn't because short term long term any type of medicine is a mask to a problem not a cure so the effects as well as on your body is in your mind telling you you need to and thinking without it you cant perform as well, leave it alone unless you need it is my advice

Being a prescription medicine folk will always have divided opinions on whether this should be used recreationally; personally I have no issue with it, and have tried it; but do bare in mind that you should check to see that you haven't got anything that might cause issues.
Viagra increases blood pressure and stimulates blood flow to the genitals (this is why it makes women feel sensitive too) so if you are taking any medication for either blood pressure or heart conditions (beta blockers etc) you should think twice.
Having said that being able to maintain an erection for a full night might just be worth the risk |

Cheaper after the 27th March (TUESDAY!)?
Hope so - been hanging on.
http://www.accessrx.com/research/viagra-patent-expires/
Pfizer will lose its patent for Viagra on March 27, 2012, according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, at which point any drug company will be able to make and sell a cheap "generic" version of the blockbuster erectile dysfunction (ED) drug. Doctors and lawyers believe that the expiration of Pfizer's monopoly on the drug will be good news for patients, as it will force competition between Pfizer's Viagra and the new generic versions, dramatically driving down the price not only of Viagra but also of Eli Lilly's Cialis and Bayer's Levitra.
However, increased options and cheaper prices for patients will lead to some confusion in the marketplace as Pfizer defends the reputation of its original brand and pharmacies become flooded with copycat pills, many of which may be made in China. Here are some signs to watch for – and some warnings to heed – in the run-up to the launch of generic Viagra in the U.S.
Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are the only ED drugs currently allowed by the FDA in the U.S. Viagra, as the oldest of the three, will lose its monopoly status first. (Levitra expires in 2018 and Cialis expires between 2017 and 2020.) Once the patent expires, the floodgates will open and consumers will likely be bombarded with advertising for cheap generic sildenafil citrate (legally, they will not be able to use the brand name "Viagra"). Until now, Pfizer has raised the price of Viagra between 5% and 11% every year, to $14 per pill at the wholesale level. That price will plummet.

On the basis that Viagra thins the blood, people with stomach conditions such Hiatus Hernia or Ulcers should not take it. You should always check with your GP or Pharmacist beforehand. |
