No pictures on a profile

I've seen a few profiles which don't have any pictures at all on them, but the person has verifications (and gets new ones) suggesting that either the person is messaging people with a private picture or people are messaging them blind.

I was wondering what people think about such profiles - do you message people without pictures if you like what they have written? And if you don't have pictures on your profile, do you find people still message you or do you need to message first?

When I first joined I had no pictures and nothing written on my profile as I hadn’t figured out what to say! I had over 50 messages in the first 5 minutes... and they weren’t just from single men.

Generally completely ignore them. I can't understand why genuine people would literally have nothing on the profile.
