There are lots of single women on Fab. The problem is that there are far, far too many men, many of which think that it’s a fuck site, and have joined because they aren’t getting any elsewhere. I genuinely believe that it needs to be more difficult for wannabe men from joining, and hanging around for ever. Something as simple as needing to be verified quicker, or perhaps an invitation scheme, so you can only join if you’ve been to a club and made contact with a member who is happy to verify you. I understand that there will always be exceptions to the rules, but the amount of guys in here that are in their twenties really doesn’t properly represent the lifestyle. |

I’ve found putting filters on messaging helps massively. Then just zoom through deleting the hi messages or those without a face photo.

Ok so i have a theory, it might be alot of BS but it might have some truth, ill let you sexy people decide.
The reason Tinder has 50 million users is because of how it makes you feel. by SWIPING left or right you are not left feeling insecure or inadequate because you've sent 20 messages and not one reply. And from a woman's perspective you are inundated with cringy messages or unsolicited dick pics. and before i get slated I know there is a difference between Tinder and Fab!
Now Im not suggesting this should be tinder for swingers but the old school way the website runs(Im not criticising) will have people leaving and an unbalanced ratio the only logical way is to limit the men / woman ratio or charge with an incentive for more woman? or change how messages are sent and received? charging then becomes commercial and the site might lose the special part?

Filters help, plus setting rules for how you run your profile. I still get lots of messages (because my filters are set the best way that works for me) but most I can just zap. |

Actually a really good point. A swiping option might be a good idea. That way only when someone matches with you can you message them. Would stop the newbies being overwhelmed by lots of messages. Just look at how many people get involved with the swipe left or right posts on the forum |

Definitely agree that a probation period would be a good idea. Except...Fabswingers is a business. They want to profit. The more traffic they get, the more people join, the more successful they are deemed to be.

There are so many ladies that join but end up leaving for many reasons.
1. The sheer amount of messages they have to wade through is shocking it's like a second job.
2. The quality of message are poor at best in 90% off messages received.
3. The abuse they get for not replying or if they do for saying no is ridiculous.
Fabs needs to up its game, the site is great for the most part but it needs to move with the times. There should be options to report abuse and attach the screen shot with the user getting removed/ ip address banned.
Ladies accounts could be preset to filters on so it gives them time to adjust to the site. |

I would suggest the addition to a filter on messages that only allowed emails with a face pic.
Photos are added to the site and catagorised. Surely there could be some review process where it identified an official face photo almost and that had to be attached to an email as a pre requisite. Just like only allowing site subscriber emails ?? |

I dont disagree with you, but if it was solely a business its poor to say the least times have moved on and investment into the early 2010 type website should be seriously looked at, the app is ok at most but visually lacking and needs some development too. Before i get shot im not slagging Fab off im stating it cant be purely business if it was it would have moved on. (sorry this is my website / app design is my world so pretty opinionated about the subject) |

When I first joined on a single profile I left as was bombarded with messages from guys, not because I’m a babe, as didn’t even have pics at first, but because I’m female. Felt like a cattle market, and so many crude messages. No attempt to actually converse and find out if I was into those type of messages. Those I met were respectful, but left after a month because of those who weren’t x Viv x |

Unfortunately, far too many man are more interested in ANY sex than who they have it with, or the lifestyle. They will message every woman (especially newcomers) within an hour’s drive with the same copy and paste shit in the vague hope that one of them will reply. That’s the biggest problem with a vast majority of the guys, and why some form of probation would sort out the serious contenders from the wannabes. Clubs do this by charging men more, but there are plenty of other options. |

The usual reasons are suggested..too many messages to much.. blah blah.
The honest truth there are countless reason they left. Only they know why they joined and left... just as many reasons for the single guys and couples that leave.
The new ladies that join (on my updates) are often rejoining so chances are know the message filters exist and often have them applied.. thete is a basic tutorial profile setup when you join..certainly was for me.
To the guys who wish there were loads more woman ..why ?. make it easier for you..? if you're not what they seek same result no interest..
I treat fab as a two way street we all have the same choices..yes please or no thanks .

1. When someone joins, only photo verified accounts can initially contact them (at least slow the rush down a little).
2. Rather than having to filter and block all blokes, there is an option to only accept messages from verified users.
3. Users are limited to a set number of out bound messages (to different people?) a day.

This could help, I also think more needs to be done when verifying pics because lots of pics on here are from models/online (catfish) but strangely have been photo verified as genuine!

To attract newbies, I think changing the swingers part of this sites name may help.
Alot of single women and men, aren't actually into swinging but more the FAB part of this site...Friends And Benefits.
There's no reason why you can't lump swinging into that bracket too. Don't you guys like building friendships before you start swinging with the other person?
I know I don't like being lumped within the swinging bracket. I wouldn't care if family or friends found me on FAB site but I sure as heck care if they found me on a swingers site! Even though swinging isn't all what this site is about, I find the name makes folk assume I am a swinger. |

No it isn't the whole point of this site as I mentioned in my post. This site isn't just a swingers site. So I don't see why it's mainly advertised as such.
Op asked for opinions and that's mine. I know other people who won't join this site because of its name and as such do not want to be labelled a swinger. Equally I've experienced people off this site, assume I'm a swinger because I'm on here.

Then it's obviously started as a swingers site and has evolved into other scenarios. Friends and benefits can be found on many other non swinging sites such as tinder bumble and pof. Unlikely to be able to find swingers on these sites or mmf scenarios etc. |

I don't think I agree with your reasoning.
It's like me joining the Sailing Club. I don't sail, but like the social aspect of the club.
There's more people in the club there for the social than sailing. Yet I don't insist it change its name.
There are still a significant number of swingers on this site, and it is mostly setup to support that lifestyle. However, it also supports others, even though they are well catered for elsewhere.
If you don't like the association, then maybe join a site without the "stigma"?

It's like me joining the Sailing Club. I don't sail, but like the social aspect of the club.
There's more people in the club there for the social than sailing. Yet I don't insist it change its name.
There are still a significant number of swingers on this site, and it is mostly setup to support that lifestyle. However, it also supports others, even though they are well catered for elsewhere.
If you don't like the association, then maybe join a site without the "stigma"?

Mostly its the abusive messages, guys offering money and the hassle which drives women away. It might make more seance to only allow a certain number of men to join like they restrict how many males can go into a club some nights. |

Go to good clubs, think you will find a more level playing field and what’s more real.

Lone female here ?? I suppose I have been very lucky (so far), only been here for a couple of months, and the majority of messages I have received have been from very polite couples and men. Of course I have had some men that have been rude (not in a good way) maybe some of it may be due to not having a picture as my profile? I soon get an idea if they are true swingers and just out for a free fuck. But having said that we shouldn't have to avoid putting a picture for fear of getting abusive/aggressive messages. I'm still getting know the scene (and so far loving it) i hope i don't get to the stage where I get fed up and leave because of these idiots. |

Clubs do filter how many men, women and couples get entry so it will be more of a level playing field, which is why clubs work better for single women than fab does  |

Hate the idea of only guys paying. Been on other sites that do that and it makes the guys more desperate and half the women just want to chat. On here it's much fairer and you don't feel like they've paid for your company |

The word "and" is never capitalised. Friends and Benefits would be written FaB not FAB!
I have always assumed FAB to be short for Fabulous Swingers, like you would say That's just fab.
In that case when joining the two words, the first shortened word would be in all capitals, while the second word would only have the first character in upper case.
Therefore, Fabulous Swingers becomes FABSwingers. |

Perhaps in addition to attracting more women, we should also be educating many of the single men. Too many seem to think that a profile on this site guarantees sexual success with women. It does not.
This is NOT a site for cheap, easy, damaged, desperate, promiscuous women seeking validation from men. It is a hub for people who share a healthy and adventurous interest in sex. All of the same rules that exist in polite society also exist here. Or they should. |

I think colour coding on the inbox would help a lot, instead of all unread being yellow, have yellow for men, orange for couples, blue for women and maybe green for people you’ve messaged before.
Certainly for us it would help us scan our unread messages, and we’ve been told by some lady friends that were on here and have since left that it was so hard to find messages from people they were in conversation with that they often got lost. Maybe even some sort of message folder or something would do it.
Ultimately fab is a business, and unfortunately current model seems to be more about current turnover and less about developing the site for sustainability. |
