This has probable been covered in one of the numerous threads about the place but without using the right search criterai I'll struggle.
Are the changing rooms unisex or M/F specific? I'm taking a lady friend for her first time there and want to be there to give her reassurances, she's obviously a little nervous. Is it cash only on the door for entry or have the moved into the 21st century and got a card/contactless machine yet? |

Be prepared to have shoal of single guys following you.
Also take both cash n card.
Hope they fixed the locks on the private playrooms or you'll be using one foot to keep out unwanted visitors.
Great if you like a wide variety of nationalities.
Staff are helpful.
Watch the slippery floors in places.
Have fun let us know how it went. |

"The changing rooms are separate but I can’t answer the other question as can’t remember if I paid by card or cash. "
Thought that might be the case, it's been two years since my last visit. Looks like I'll be doing the rare thing and spending cash.
"Be prepared to have shoal of single guys following you."
Well aware of that and can say I was guilty for the first 20 minutes of my first visit, now I sit in the hot tub and people watch and I was seeing the same people coming and going. One guy must have walked miles in the hope of getting some action, he was checking the steam rooms every ten minutes it seemed.
"Also take both cash n card." I'll have both with me, though it'll be on the phone rather than a card.
"Hope they fixed the locks on the private playrooms or you'll be using one foot to keep out unwanted visitors." I'll pop into B&Q on the way up
"Staff are helpful." Did see one or two idiots have their visit cut short cause of bad behaviour through attitude or drink.

One changing room is mixed, the other is women only.
They take card no problems, but you need a pound coin for your locker.
Might not suit your timings or availability, but would suggest you take a nervous women for her first time there on a Saturday evening (couples only). |

My lady friend was a little nervous and wore bikini bottoms and wasn't too keen on being overtly intimate in public where we could be seen but was happy to fondle me underwater in the hot tub. Any man that tried to butt in our fun were soon dispatched by her though. We had just got out of the large pool and one guy asked if he could stick my cock :p Why would I want that when I had a woman with me, I told him to go away but not so politely and said there are plenty of other men that would probably take him up on his offer.
There were plenty of single, hopeful men but also half a dozen women either alone or part of a couple which is the most I've seen the in the afternoon. |

"Went there years ago, it was a shithole then. Never been since! "
I’ve been twice and never again. I would never go alone as a female. Too many creepy guys there. |

Go.
It’s fun.
It’s not the Ritz.
Politely say no to the silly men that aren’t polite.
Only ever one bad experience. And security sorted it very quickly.
It’s a fun place to go. The worst night is Friday. But saying that we’ve been then and had fun.

We've been to MANY clubs, and I don't remember any of them taking cards... I think that cash only helps with keeping their tax bill down |

Slap my wrist if I'm wrong here or out of order..
2 quotes above help give the negative vibes you hear about rio's...
Shoals of single men
Mixture of nationalities..
From experience of visiting a few times it was the shoals of single men of certain ethnic backgrounds that were the main culprits of inappropriate behaviour... Being sat in jacuzzi or sauna or steam room if couple came in you'd know within 2 or 3 not 5 but 2 or 3 minutes these guys would be swarming round like bees round honey.. If couple left surprise surprise 2 or 3 minutes guys be gone.. So fully understand how frustrating females would find it..
I always tried to use a different track and go where it was quite hoping couple would come.. Nope it didn't work..
Enjoyed it for spa facilities though thought sometimes could do with sprucing up at times..
Not been in London for while but would visit again when I do.. |

"Just to clarify worst culprits seemed to be albanian/turkish/Arabic... "
I do think that, if there is a language barrier it will mean it's near impossible to "chat-up" others, which could lead to the behaviour you describe.

Anyone thinking of going to Rio's need to keep in mind that it's not a swingers club but a naturist spa that dabbles as being a club. They do not have membership, and they let anyone in. As it's in central London, it surely attracts a variety of visitors.
I don't think I'd like to go there as a single female, but saying that, I wouldn't feel overly comfortable as a single female in most clubs I've been to. |

OP, I go often. On my own. Strictly to use the spa.
The changing rooms are separate but couples can use the men's one.
The rooms have poor ventilation and ridiculously uncomfortable beds.
No one ever follows me. I must be extremely unattractive - or just able to make it clear when not interested.
Send me a PM if you have any more questions.
Incidentally, I may head there a bit later. |

A lot of people seem to forget the purpose of this place. I’ve only been a few times with different partners but didn’t stay longer then an hour. Swinging Clubs are very different and has a different purpose. I feel much more comfortable at those places. |

I know this is not a wide variety geographically, but I can confirm that Purple Mamba, Eureka's, Hellfire Club, Rio's and BGHS all take card, as did the old Kestrels/Abfabs.
The only place I've ever been to that is cash only is Temptations in Bournemouth. |
