Does someone’s profession turn you on? Or is it more, what they wear for their line of work that turns you on?

Where ever I lay my hat

A profession doesn't turn me on.

For me it’s what they actually do, their profession and intelligence. I seem to find teachers, lecturers, doctors and the fire/ police quite a turn on..,

I think this is what I was trying to say, you’ve nailed, what someone actually does

Agree, but we wouldn’t put Police in the same bracket. Intelligence, and an ability to earn a decent living with what you know is very attractive, to us anyway.

Personally couldnt care less what someone does for work. Everyone is equal in life. It's the person thats the turn. Not what they do or how much they earn.

Don’t think the OP implied anyone was better than anyone else, merely asking if there profession itself turns you on.

Amazing how many people take it so personally. Put your inferiority complexes in the bin and take the thread comment for what it is!

Yeah what someone earns has no relevance to me, I was more going down the line of what they do, does it make someone more attractive if they’re in a role that cares for or helps people, or if they are in an authoritative role etc.

No I can honestly say a person's job has never turned me on. It's actually a turn off if they use their profession to try and attract me, which seems to happen quite a bit on here.

They’ll be a nobody in whatever profession they feel the need to say they’re in. Lose change in a pocket makes noise, full wallets don’t.

Not really but certain jobs are associated with certain body type sometimes and I do select my meets based on their physique.

So, indirectly I am a bit turned on by certain jobs (military, construction workers, firemen etc)...Pavlov reaction I think.

Military...drool..drool

Construction workers...salivate..salivate

Yes if they're outdoorsy or mechanics - anything involving dirt and grime seems to float my boat. If someone tells me they work in an office it's not remotely a turn on.

Not really a turn on by the title. If I'm intrigued by their occupation then I'm likely interested to learn about them

We’re more interested in people than their professions.

This for me it's more the intelligence that's implied by the job that's a turn on, though sometimes it's the actual profession too.

I don’t really get turned on by a profession, there’s nothing that comes to mind. BUT that being said, I did date someone from the US Air Force and seeing them come home in military uniform was a big turn on

Conversely though I’ve been turned off by people’s professions before. Paramedic - all i could think of were germs and they spoke in a certain tone as if I was a patient - “Please move to your left, just there please, thank you”. Total turn off
