We are looking to put together a high quality calendar to go into print for 2013. We are needing 13 Couples to pose for the said calender are you up for it??? msg us. All profit to go to charity.

I'm not a couple (clearly). But thre are two things I would like cleared up if I were to even consider this:
(1) Define 'profit'. In my experience, profit does not equal proceeds.
(2) Define charity. |

Good questions
1, all proceeds minus the cost of each calendar and studio hire which will be nominal.
2, only sold on fab not general public if that's possible.
3, charities will be Marie curie cancer support in aid of my brother in law who passed away last month
Please any more questions would be happily received |

To be honest with you i think its a great idea with the best of intentions but i cant see it hitting off, most people on here have families and wont want a 'swingers' calendar in the house plus i cant see that many being willing to send you their address so you can post it
Maybe if you arranged a social when its finished and printed and sold it there you may get more sales

I presume that the pictures would be of a soft porn nature, not full on? Also, the wearing of masks as you said above is a good idea!
I really can't see a problem with anyone giving you an address, but no doubt the very careful ones will see danger around every corner! |

Oh yes it would be very soft tounge in cheek bit of fun, anything more i feel wouldnt be right. maybe done as a digital calendar for you to download to your computer so no printing no posting no address needed. |

I think the idea is a nice one, but the practical woud be difficult.
It isn't just about taking a couple of peoples pics and making up a calendar, getting us swingers to buy it and then passing the proceeds onto charity. Once you produce an item for commercial gain there are a load of processes you have to follow.
You'd have to get people to sign a disclaimer for a start, giving you the authority to distribute their photographs. You have no control over where that calendar would end up, you can't say its just for swingers to buy.
The contract between all participants would have to be a legal document, do you have an idea of the legal costs involved. If you don't get it right,and you have no legal permission to use those photographs, you could be sued.
And Jemima's point, the charity you want to donate to is a huge charity. Do you seriously think they'd risk their name and image being linked to a swingers calendar, which was just made up in the back room of someones house, without any of the legality dealt with.
Technically its got more holes than a pair of fishnet stockings.

Organise a social and donate the proceeds to the charity in your name.
You can have auctions, raffles etc |

Surely if it's for a registered charity the photographer & studio time will be donated free of charge and sponsors will cover any additional costs |

I'm in the middle of producing a naked calendar for charity at the moment and believe me it's not that easy. With all the legal stuff it takes longer than you think it will. Plus you need the charity to agree and send you their logo and charity number. |
