Just for fun, what was the most outlandish/funniest rumours that went around your school/work?
Mine is from school, those gooey aliens were all the rage and there was always someone who knew someone else’s alien had babies haha |

Worth considering the global impact of cows. Methane Traps 84 times the amount of heat the CO2 does. Increasing deforestation occurs to set aside land for cattle rearing. As cows ruminate and double digest their food the methane is considerable. The fat cats driving the big cars are a relatively small % of the population compared to the cattle reared. Btw sheep are also a problem.
Air conditioning does have a high energy demand but increasingly the electricity to power it is from greener sources and so reduced CO2 mass will benefit as our power grid shifts to renewable.
The natural population of cattle oils never be as large as the managed farming of them.
Sorry to go off topic but it’s important ppl at least consider these things.
However I like steak, burgers and dairy products so I’m not an ultra just a scientist |

At school ..
That the ‘smiley gang’ would be waiting in a white van outside the gates. They round grab you, put you in the back of the van and slit your mouth with a knife so you had a permanent smile. Made me scared of white vans for a while.
That the PE teachers were all lesbians who wanted to watch girls shower.
That one if our male teachers was a pervert who liked young girls and that’s why he did the job.
Only one of these rumours turned out to be false!
