Message read, not answered & not deleted, a good thing or bad?

What's the consensus on undelete messages?

You send a message

Message is read

Message not replied

Message not deleted

Is it a good sign that the message is still there even if you don't get a reply? Does that mean you're still under consideration, even after several weeks? Or is the message just forgotten and lost in the slush pile.

If they wanted to chat to you, they’d reply.

It’s as simple as that.

I sometimes read my messages and don’t delete them. It means I’m lazy. Nothing more.

If I wanted to speak to that person, I would. If I didn’t have the time to reply, I’d mark it as unread until I had the time to reply.

I’d recommend deleting your sent box; then you aren’t checking it, and wondering.

Focus on those who reply to you.

Depends who your messaging, often if it's a couple it might have been read by one partner who might not be the one who is interested, or they might respond together.

Just be patient

Sometimes I’ll read and reply later, other times I read, not interested but don’t delete. Either way, I’m just lazy!
