What are your thoughts on eyebrow waxing and threading for men x

I’ve been given a voucher for a session at a new beauticians near me x

Before now I’ve only had my eyebrows clipped at the hair dresser or plucked by a girl friend x

From a little bit of googling it seems that male brows could be a “thing”?

Hi Zoe xx

I have my eyebrows threaded quite often (every 6 weeks or so) and would thoroughly recommend it. It really does give you a nice tidy line and shape.

I’ve been in both male and femme mode when I’ve had it done - and had no issues.

It is a little uncomfortable having it done! (The price us ‘ladies’ pay for beauty!!) and the area they pluck is usually a bit red for a couple of hours. It’s no more uncomfortable than waxing!

Thankyou Rachel for your informative response x

I’m sure that the shape and definition is just what I’m looking for x

Hopefully it’s not too much pain x and I can always hide any redness behind a pair of over size sunglasses

Regards xxx

My experience is that eyebrow waxing is a lot less painful than threading. Still, the pain of both is over quite soon. Nothing to worry about and you will feel tidied up.

And yes, it's definitely a thing. Take a closer look at handsome young men on the telly. Loads of them have had their brows tidied.

Not a man here as it’s Mrs, but I know it’s a thing.

I prefer waxing because I have naturally really heavy and straight thick eyebrows, massive ones really lol and thinner skin, so threading feels more painful to me and sometimes leaves me with little marks as they have so much more to do than if I had thin or more supposedly feminine brows.

My local barber ( Turkish ) does this every time. Threads the eyebrows and also burns the ears. Yea the joys of getting older hair everywhere except where it should be

I too love a visit to the Turkish Barber. He trims the eyebrows but doesn’t thread them.

I get the ears ‘burned’ but always decline getting the nose hairs pulled .... that’s a step too far for me!
