A girlfriend of mine has embarked on updating some very early 1990’s style ink x

She has several examples of “flash” tattoos eg when you went into the shop picked a design of the board and selected a spot on your body x

So far she has had a Chinese friendship symbionts her shoulder incorporated into a floral lily design

She has also had the first session on a tramp stamp lower back tattoo- transforming it into the beginning of a very elegant and intricate floral vine x

Any other fabsters has any cover up work done or have tattoos that they would improve x

I had to repost this as a few auto correct meant some words were changed x

Yes.... I've had the usual "Mum & Dad" on my left arm cover up by a Japanese Anya mask and Dragon.... Just thinking on how in can join it onto my other arm now which has Koi carp on.

Windsor-ish

Yeah i have 2/3 small pieces that are over 20 years old and faded so would like them covered up. There are celtic designs that are just not me anymore.

I had a few tribal pieces slapped on my back like stickers. No symmetry, all a bit mismatched. I gave my tattooist carte blanche to just "do something with it". He didn't want to just cover it altogether, he said he'd rather rework it into something new. So the existing tribal has been extended or altered and reimagined and lots of new work added around it, it's now a rather nice backpiece.

Had a dragon on my upper arm covered from when I was 17.

Ended up being the full sleeve by the time I'd finished.

I had a double nautical star in my elbow, clever design but really badly executed (friend accidentally recommended me the wrong tattooist, I can laugh about it now). Large and dark is not the easiest to cover but the lines and angles became the basis for an Escher themed sleeve

I'm desperate to cover up a 90's tattoo on my pectoral. I need it linked to another on my upper arm.

But I'm so worried that my pain threshold won't be as it used to be!

Yep, in had some stupid tribal.band thing on my right arm that I picked off the wall when d*unk.

3 laser sessions to remove as much as possible and half sleeve covered it, still to finish off into 3/4 sleeve

Thanks to all who have responded x

It seems cover ups are more common and complex than I’d imagined x

Are there any tattooist on fab that can provide an industry insight xx
