"I sometimes cringe at our accent. Especially the scally sounding ones x
See.... And that's coming from one of your own "
I think the accent is like marmite. Either love it or hate it, no inbetween x |

Same I hate it, and it makes me quite self conscious when I'm talking...even to other scousers!
Hell, quite a few times I have had to ask somebody to repeat what they said because even I as a native scouser couldn't understand them through the accent. |

North and South Liverpool accents are slighty different , although i think you need to be a scouser to pick up on it |

"Not massively into high pitched Scouse accents but I have a bit of a thing for men with Scouse accents and luckily I live in the best place for it!"
High pitched and barely able to finish a sentence that rolls in to a mumble ending with la is the most jarring thing to listen to |

The Liverpudlian accent has changed so much in a relatively short time. As other Scousers have said I can hardly understand the harsh, zombie like, kidder, lid accent of the modern scally.
I sound like a cross between John Lennon and Ringo Starr doing Thomas the Tank Engine |

My playmate has such a sexy Liverpudlian accent - in fact it was one of reasons I was attracted to him, the way he says my real name is such a turn on,
14 years later and it still drives me crazy!

*shudders* I’ve tried to hide it, live with it secretly, talk to no one. Move about the country to try and make it fade. But I can live with it now, embrace my heritage, come out to the world, not hide in the shadows of shame. I’m Jay and I’m from Birkenhead. Not really a scouser, but ...

This.. After moving away many years ago my own has pretty much gone..
Although I would add that any really broad accent, brum or Geordie etc can sound a bit
Depends on the person I suppose.. |

I wouldn't tell any of my mates, like "
