It is a number of things and may be different for you or your next door neighbour. It can be that the wife likes to play away from hubby, with his full knowledge, but not necessarily with his full or even partial consent. After her assignation, she would come home and tell him all about it!
It can also be that the hubby is present in the same room or at least house and is made to watch or listen to the sexual encounter! If watching, it is fairly common to be the subject of derision and humiliation.
The wife may tell the cuckold to “clean up” whatever the sexual partners have left behind. Or to go and get them refreshments. He may be tied or free roaming and as I understand it, the whole point is to humiliate.. Some guys just get off on this!

Like any word, it may mean different variation of things.
In my experience can mean as simple as having to watch whilst another man plays with the woman, without joining in.
Bixsecual = enjoys sex with men or women. Doesn't necessary mean full sex, just limited perhaps.
Guess you will have to establish what the term means to those who are potential meets
