"Hi. Forgive me for the dumb question - but what’s the “fabulous” body option for? Is it for better than athletic?
"
Fabulous, as a body type, first came about in 80's fashion and was all about positive attitude and self-image for the larger lady - pretty much what we now use BBW for.
Where the confusion comes in, is that those who don't know about this, might think it's more aligned to 'near perfect' or something along those lines.
So, someone of a slim build might use the label 'Fabulous' without realising that there are many out there in fabland who might pass them by because of their understanding of the term, because they're not looking for someone of a large build.
It's all really rather subjective.
Personally, I'd prefer to see actual standardised sizes being used. i.e. Size 10, 12, 14, 16 etc for the ladies, but then what do we use for the fellas.
Look at it this way though. When you're setting up your profile and your choosing which body type to use, look at where Fabulous comes in the list. I think you'll find it comes after ample and large - That might be your best clue. |
