Why just the two extremes? There is middle ground.

I personally don't like it looking like Terry Waite's allotment down there. A good trim is very satisfactory but I do like it waxed clean off. As long as it's short I'm not too bothered.

Trimmed for me. Don't want to get lost in the abyss of bush but also I don't like the feeling of baldness.
