Anyone got a good suggestion for a hotel in central London where the walls arnt paper thin and we wont need a second mortgage? Belle has the pleasure of 2 BBC on Friday night and we need a venue where we wont wake the neighbor's!

Always tricky regards price, but Southbank, Borough Market are very central, just that they are the other side of the river, and the usual booking websites will get you a reasonable deal there. Otherwise St Paul’s and the City are cheaper than the West End on a Friday and quiet.

These are great suggestions, closer you get to zone 2 the cheaper it is but still very central.

The booking.com website is very good because you can refine your search by area, price and room type.

Canary Wharf is worth a look too as there are quite a few businessman hotel chains so you may get a good deal.
