How would you clarify ‘classy’

So I often say I would love to meet a classy lady as an ideal fab date, I mention it in my profile.

But how would you clarify ‘classy’? What attributes would you hope to find in a ‘classy’ person?

It's really up to the individual and it depends on context. What do you mean, OP?

I think I’m classy, but no one seems to agree with me, so it’s clearly very subjective.

It's one of those vague, nondescript, oft rolled out terms. I think I *can* be quite classy at times but it depends on the location etc. Most women can be classy. Do you mean in terms of appearance? Demeanour?

In all ways I guess, both appearance, demeanour, in the way they act and conduct themselves, I feel a lady can be both classy and yet naughty too. It’s quite difficult to define I guess.

For me it's a mixture of things for both male and female. How they dress, smart is classy. Smell, having a shower before a meet is one thing but then putting on a decent perfume or aftershave afterwards. Manners, how their approach is, respectful and old fashioned manners goes a long way to classy

For people we’ve met who are classy we’d say

Good appearance and look after themselves

Good dress sense

Good education

Generally quite well travelled and versed in the ways of the world

Respectful and refined

I think it's all subjective, what one person maybe thinks is classy another one might not... Is it the way she dresses or speaks or how she comes across.. Only you can decide that OP.

I think reading the profiles is a good start to gauging how someone comes across and if they are to your taste?!

I'd say it's probably related to wealth. To me it means something or someone exclusive or chic. Someone stylish perhaps, probably upper-class, and who has the money to be elegant.

Could be male or female.

Thank you everyone, I think I agree with most of the opinions, and have laughed along with the funny ones.

For me it’s not about wealth, background race or creed, it’s about how you present yourself, how you project yourself in a way that others see you.

It’s not about your parents, your bank balance or your peers, it’s nothing to do with the car you drive or how many bedrooms your house has. Your dress size or your jewellery collection has bugger all to do with it.

It’s about you, only you.
