hey ,i have been having a lovely chat via e mail, with a nice lady ,after a few i sent a face pic,now i am pleasent looking but no adonis lol. ,next thing i know i have been blocked,surely she could have said not my type thankyou.i would reply no problems have fun love david ,asi have to other people ,. What do you do ,i find just bloking people after chatting with no explanation a little rude or maybe i am being sensitive |

Sensitive, get over it, she doesn't fancy you and most people block, that way you cannot message her again, that's how it works. Plenty more fish in the sea as they say  |

Have you thought about the possibility that maybe she knew you?

I do agree it is a little rude to block you without a no thanks, but I'm not really surprised by her and others doing this as unfortunately not all guys are so polite and able to just accept that every person has a different taste and that they may not tick the right boxes. I always send a 'no thanks' if they have clearly read my profile and sent that all important face pic but you would be amazed at some of the names I have been called for daring to refuse some guys on here!
The nicest was that I was crazy and obviously a time waster...despite all my verifications which were the reason for him messaging me! One of the nastiest was guy guy who claimed he mustn't have had his glasses on when he messaged me otherwise he obviously wouldn't have messaged 'a fat, ugly smelly bitch who only fucks old fat balding men because they're just as desperate'. Imagine my surprise to discover his glasses gave him the power to smell me and see my face from a picture of my torso...I've never seen those on offer in specsavers!! Oddly enough both men blocked me after my 'polite' responses to wish them luck on this site with such wonderful attitudes x |

I have tried replying like that to men and you get things like can you make an exception, you are being fussy to some really rude messages back. Its easier just to block and delete. |

I agree it's rude, but as others have mentioned you just have to put it aside and not let it bother you. Plenty more fish, and plenty more with better personalities. |

it happens
i was talking to a guy today whos mailed me a few times asking to meet, i told him i was off work next week so would meet if he wanted, so he mailed me back saying was tuesday ok with me so i mailed him back saying yes tuesday was fine, we arranged a time and place to meet then he blocked me.....go figure
no point letting such things bother you just go find someone else to talk to |

totally agree...blocking in my eyes is mainly for bad/stupid behaviour!- a no thanks, wish someone well and carry on.
NOT to make the person on the other side think they have done something wrong.
it TAKES balls to say nothanks when uve already done some dialogue
Do urself a favor 'blockers' try keeping the nice people who message u in good favor, even if u arent meeting them.And receive a thanks anyway, bye x msg back... then cut communication.Simple.
friendly site???...lets try keeping it a civil site.
(just to point out Ive rarely ever been blocked, its not sour grapes i speak with..but big sweaty plums)

When I replied a polite no to someone I got messaged I only shagged mingers. I did message him back to say he was so bad that he never even made it into my minging category. Naughty I know but he deserved it! |

I've done stuff like that! Had one who told me not too worry, he wasn't out of my league and didn't mind the larger lady...to which I replied that he may not be out of mine but I was well out of his. He blocked me...strange! x |

could be a mix of all things hunny, may know you? not her type? rather block than say no thanks in case she got abuse which happens wayyyy to many times on here. chin up move on and a little tip... next time you mail someone send face pic in first message so then you nor them are not wasting each others time xx good luck fella   |

i get loads like that, ive been called everything from a two bit used whore to being told they could pull better than me down the pub anyway, i even had one guy tell me i should be grateful of his offer as i couldnt do better than him, just ebcause ive sent a polite no thaks message
I do think it can come over as rude to no say no thanks and just block but i can fully understand why women do it |

sorry i was pointing out that this wasnt for what it appears an initial message, it was a dialogue(how many messages is that...3?4?5?)
then a sudden block...
for sending a facepic...
that is RUDE, no other way to dress it up really |

Don't worry about it. Something may have been said that the other didn't like. In the real world, they would have made their excuses & left, here, they block. |

I would never give anyone the reasoning or justifications why as it always does more harm than good. I remember I used to wonder why, but really it's best not to know, because it does impact negatively and incite backlash that people really don't need.
The easiest way is to move swiftly on to the next contact

I agree with the above. This week I tried to look at the profiles of 2 people that had blocked me. I had never contacted them, or they me, so they had obviously decided that we were not compatible, and blocked. Next! |

I think it was rude not to send you a reply first, but unfortunately, sometimes it's better to block people that are not to your liking, and (sorry to say so, but..) especially single guys.
So many times we have sent a polite 'no thanks' only to get another copy and paste message a couple of weeks later, or even (rarely, fortunately) an abusive message back. At least by blocking there are no misunderstandings, or 'forgetting' that you've already emailed before.
At the same time, politeness costs nothing.. |

sensitive...she didnt fancy u but didnt know how to say it.
Secondly some ppl get abusive when turned down, so blocking is safer |

I have blocked people a couple of times after chatting
Mainly because it was'nt really chat and felt more like an audition,I sometimes feel like im responding to some sort of script thats just full of cheesy inuendos that could be aimed at every person they have spoken to
It bores me and ive ended up blocking 
If im looking for meets and someone has sent a pic with a decent message and I don't fancy them ill always say thank you and wish them good luck,well I think I mostly do anyway  |

that happened to me once as well, being blocked right after the pics were exchanged. I think it's rude and cowardly. It doesn't take much time to say sorry, you're not my type, take care and have fun! ....
yes, it sometimes happens that people get abusive, but I think that's very rare and that's the time when I'd block them.
They're blocked for being rude, annoying or liars. Not for their looks.
I most of the time get a message back thanking me for my reply and for my honesty.

It is a tad rude but like others have said... get used to it! You can be as polite as anything and still get blocked!
You learn more from this site and the people you talk to the more you are on here!
