If someone sends a polite message asking that we look at their profile to see if we're interested, we do. Single guys must get sick and tired of writing individual messages only to have them ignored or criticised. We are looking to meet single men and don't mind reading their profiles.
Ironically one of the most frequent complaints against single men is that they don't read profiles |

"Is what I get asked a lot,
Why should I if you can't be bothered to send a decent message in the first place."
If a profile interests me, and I believe I fit the bill for what they are looking for, I will introduce myself, try to engage interest, and refer to my profile if they choose to know more.
I've worked hard on the profile, and tried to make it honest and open, but it's a long read. But that's fine if it filters out people with short attention spans. If I was putting the same stuff in a message, you would probably delete after the second paragraph, especially people who get hundreds of messages. And it would look like cut-and-paste. |
