"So I'm thinking of getting my hood pierced. Looking for any advice or suggestions from other people who've had it done.
What's it like, does it hurt, is it worth it etc etc
Thanks in advance "
I’ve had mine for about 15 years.
Yes it hurt, no benefit from it (for me) other than it looks pretty. |

It hurts like hell. The piercer was like "Right, it's going to feel like I'm biting you, I'm not going to bite you, but that's what it'll feel like." It genuinely felt like she was trying to rip my hood off with her teeth GOD knows what the people in the waiting area thought was happening I ended up having to take it out though, the bar she used was too short and I was really sore. I couldn't face getting it changed so I just left it to heal. I've regretted it a few times but I'm not brave enough to get it done again. |

Cheryl has two, a vertical and horizontal. The vertical wasn't a problem but the horizontal was more painful, needing to be set square to the vertical.
Looks lovely and can aid orgasms with the right stimulus. |

I had mine done and it didn't hurt, felt like a tiny pinch and it was over. Healing was fine and was back to normal quickly. You might struggle to find places that do it now because of the FGM laws. |

I've had mine for 18 years (horizontal), it didn't hurt any more than having my ears pierced, healed with no problems and as for benefits, it hasn't increased sensitivity or anything like that, but the little ball closure rests on the best spot to stimulate my clit, so it helps people find it.
One thing I would say is most important, is to make sure you go to a piercer with a good reputation.

I took my ex to a piercing venue in Brighton years back for a vertical hood stud.
She said the actual piercing in the skin of the hood was minimal.
But, she then made the error of wearing really tight jeans to the appointment. Walking in tight denim, with a jewelled stud pressing up firmly on your "love button" is only going to have one effect!

Eileen wants hers done. When I get round to it.
For some people it's great, some not so.
Everyone is different.
If you think you may regret it, or unsure. My advice is, not do it.
It should only hurt briefly. But ideally you don't want sex until it's healed.
I had a pa. But ended up having to take it out, I also couldn't bear the sensation of it on my clothes and eventually it almost tore my helmet open. So now I've got a hole two holes, the second being even bigger than my japs eye.
Eileen likes it, I regret the shit out of it

I've got my vch done it was the least painful of all my piercings, I've had 15.
From piercing to ball on she took 2 seconds. No stinging after. And obviously the first wall after may leave you feeling something (I had to stop walking for a minute)
But I barely know it's there 4+ years on.
It's aesthetic rather than for a purpose.
If you use a wand the balls will knock on the wand Aswell. And they say it takes around 2 months to heal, so no playing with it during that time. |
