Hi guys, I'm curious about the things that put you off single women here on Fab. What kind of things on their profiles or in their messages annoy you the most or just leave you thinking "hell no!"?

I'm seriously thinking to pop some popcorn and taking a sexy pic of me eating it... Then add it as my profile pic

Just for moments like these

This thread could get very interesting

For me it’s seeing sentences that were obviously written in anger or frustration - I imagine somebody saying then with an angry screwed up face. It completely puts me off

"No cut and paste messages" from women with little or no information on their profile. What precisely are we supposed to base a witty, personalised message on? I'm sure this is one of those phrases that the ladies are instructed to add to their profile in Fab school, just like "I know how this site works"!

I understand that women want to feel a guy has made the effort to respond to them personally, and I'll always tailor a message for the intended recipient where possible. Nevertheless, 80% of what I want to say is the same in each message I send - why on earth would I start with a blank screen every time?!

Also, women who profess to speak on behalf of their entire gender. Read some profiles and you could be forgiven for thinking that cock pictures would be a guaranteed block (and I still think it's better to err on the side of caution), but more than once I've had a curt reply making it very clear that they weren't interested purely because I HADN'T included a cock shot in my first message. (And no, it didn't say to do so on the lady in question's profile). Similarly, I see phrases like "guys - of course I don't want to meet now", as if that should be obvious. Absolutely fair enough, but do the people that write this understand that there are also profiles which say the exact opposite? One in particular lists the owner's pet hate as guys who message, giving their availability in the future, and suggests writing back when they're ready to meet that day.

I'm all for women giving their preferences on their profile, it saves wasted time all round for those of us that read them, but don't say it like we should know already!

Exactly, and where women only have to send a couple of messages, us guys have to send dozens so how can we make everyone totally different !

In the years I've been on and off here I must have sent hundreds of introductions, every one different, yeah right !

What peeves me about women on here? The fact they all seem to have the shared experience of abusive or downgrading from men that don’t take rejection well, or the ones that end up just deleting messages rather than risking that experience again. The fact their mailboxes are probably full but they’ve had more than a couple of assholes message once or ten times in among some possibly viable meets. Or the fact that men treat them like crap and still expect to get laid then put them in a bad mood.

That’s what peeves me about women on here; what they have to put up with from the asshole guys on here.

Its hard to know how someone is because the way they come across may not be the way they are in person, a profile is no real guide as to what a person is like, just the preferences they have, surely no one would intentionally be standoffish, they're looking to meet

There is no easy way to say this and it didn't just relate to here but everywhere.

I hate how women in a lot of instances expect the man to make the first move when messaging.

I very rarely message a guy. On a dating site like bumble I have to but I never search for anyone on here as I want something specific and prefer a guy to contact me after reading that. I’m happy to make a move in a public setting but on here, I would only message a guy if it was to comment about something on the forums or a pic to show appreciation.

It's because most women can't handle rejection, and they have never had to learn the necessary skills to actually pull a guy

The ratio of men is far greater than women. Most women don't message first because they don't need to

I’m not looking to meet as I have enough for now. That may mean getting veris off current guys in my life. "

"The self proclaimed sapiophiles, when after trying to decrypt their grammar and spelling mistakes that a bat is probably brighter than them.."

You’ve made yourself silly there. I consider myself a sapiosexual, which means I’m attracted/aroused by intelligence, doesn’t mean I have to be intelligent myself. Maybe look it up. It’s a common misconception.

Somehow you have misread or misinterpreted, my point was everyone else here is brighter than the majority of self proclaimed sapiosexuals judging by their spelling and vocabulary, so at the end of the day, who does that really rule out... makes it kinda irrelevant

Even if I had the IQ of a bat (sorry bat) I would still recognise someone with a higher intelligence. It’s not just academics that I’m attracted to, it’s passionate people. A geeky scientist will do for now.

"The self proclaimed sapiophiles, when after trying to decrypt their grammar and spelling mistakes that a bat is probably brighter than them..

I doubt you’ll find a geeky scientist online at this ungodly hour on a Saturday night, they’ll be in be to get their 8hr 47min of sleep to maintain healthy brain function... as for me? I have socks with left/right on them..

I’m not looking tonight. It’s only 7pm here on the lovely island of St Lucia. Watching the rain, drinking g&t on my balcony and being amused by the forums of fab is all I need right now.

Nobody likes show offs (I lie, everybody does sshh)

6 nights here and it’s called work. (It has rained most of the week. Don’t tell anyone though)

35 degrees and sipping Mojitos on a golden sandy beach looking out over the crystal ocean while getting your feet massages, is that what you said?

That’s when I go to Cuba usually.

How many people have read this and thought “fuck my life” haha

Doubt that very much. It’s hard to pin me down for long though. That frustrates my friends on here.

Is that a, pardon the pun instance?

Ask the bat!!

The one thing I don’t understand are the profile that demand a face pic... but they aren’t willing to have theirs on their profile.

Not exactly the biggest complaint in the world, just don’t like double standards.

Tbf if we have to ask for a face pic then you havnt got one on your profile either? I dont, but do in my private album. Meaning if you you read my profile and send a message with a face pic and I'm not feeling it...we move on, or if I like you I'll send a message back with mine. If you just send a message with no pic then really I just know you havnt read it. No point going back and forth messaging to find out later we dont fancy each other, I also do the same tho and when messaging a guy first i send my face pic.

No profile text, how else am I meant to send a message

Fucking filters, I have had meets where, snapchat filters and camera angles have hidden a lot. The only reason some women get meets on here is due to it being a sex site, if it was Bumble or Tinder they'd have been swiped away

Ranty profiles

Women expecting a 6 foot 4, 8 inch cock, ripped block, yet she looks like a melted welly

Lots of people do. And as a fat woman i welcome it as I know not to waste my time. As long as it was done tactfully and not offensively.

Not just women’s profiles but profiles in general:

Having “will fill in later” as the sum total of their profile text and having been on Fab for over a year.

Having a face pic on your profile for ANYONE to see is different to having one sent privately.

Once you’ve looked at interests, location, other photos and verifications; if you’re both still interested in each other then a face pic is essential is it not?

Now - if you’ve read the ladies or couples profile first and are showing an interest....

I dislike the contradiction in some profile.

Like : I am into all type of body, stimulate my mind first'.

Yet the only verifications they have are from men who has 3% of fat.

After they may only display those. However, it is counterproductive and totally in contradiction with them being 'sapiophile'

I think I have put more effort into my profile than that.

That is the thing, women like funny guys etc, yet they won't meet due to me being small

Complaints that people don't put enough effort into messages.

Complaints about having too many messages, and announcing they are going to bulk delete.

If too many messages is such a problem (I'm a single male over 45, so wouldn't know) put the filters up, and be pro-active by sending messages to the profiles that actually interest you.

My main peeve is the amount of profiles looking for a "Sugar Daddy" or just blatantly asking for money for pics or more.

I get the power thing for some blokes but the internet is full of free pics! And usually better pics at that. Call me old fashioned but I'd rather someone want me for me than my wallet.
