What is your definition of swinging?

Essentially for me it is the traditional car keys in a bowl type thing. I prefer the couples nights and arranged party nights in clubs. I feel comfortable, I like the atmosphere and social side of the scene.

Over time I have realised I'm not a fan of the simple "want a fuck?" type emails from randoms. That type of swinging stresses me out more than getting any pleasure.

What's your definition of swinging? There's no right or wrong answers here, just answers.

Recreational, non-monogamous sex with an element of socialising with like minded people. So not just casual fuckery and definitely not limited to couples.

I'm not sure that a single who is not in a committed relationship can be called a swinger as they are not bringing a partner to the party. Isn't it defined as partner swapping?

Yep...bring your own bottle, if you want to drink at a swingers party.

For us, it's finding the right people and playing together. As OP says, we are also not fans of the "meet us now, before we even see your faces " brigade...it's an extension of our kinky side with like minded people x

Recreational sex without any emotional attachments. We prefer to swap partners with other like-minded couples and enjoy the social side too, but we do enjoy sex with total strangers in clubs, the anonymity has a certain basic appeal. The combinations vary depending on the opportunities and our moods, anything from swapped one-on-ones to large group play, particularly when she's in GG mode. We think monogamy isn't natural and are glad to see so many others agree.
