"I always hate the days before hand...
Will they or won't they 'meet'. Or will they cancel / go quiet
I don't think I'll ever get used to it...."
just never upset yourself if they don't...... it happens

I always have a back up plan.
Like planning to meet somewhere with shopping facilities for a meet and greet drink. If he fails to show up, I would go shopping so that the trip is not wasted.

I'm pretty nervous when meeting people I see day in day out so you can imagine the state I can get in when it's a new Fab meet.
Strangly though it's very much a different sort of nervousness. There's something about knowing that your all there just to have some fun that places part of the mind at ease, and for me at least, helps me to come out of my shell (literally :P) |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
Although I don't arrange many one on one meets these days (due to last minute cancellations or no shows) the last time I did so I was too busy in the days leading up to it to worry too much. I've got a dreadful memory too so sometimes forget I've got one arranged til I check my diary!
Having said that, the hours before the meet are full of anticipation, with a tinge of worry about them turning up! |
