Sometimes people lie as a source of escapism. If they tell the lie long enough they can start to believe it's true. People lie in the real world also. On here they probably think it will help them get a meet, it won't just be men though, couples and females as well to a certain extent xx

This. Nobody ever thinks they will get caught. There is 80 odd thousand people in jail who thought they could get away with dishonesty. |

Yes I’m finding that out more and more a guy I’ve been chatting to and met for a few weeks had 2 profiles only got found out as we moved chat to kik must of forgot my profile name and messaged me including his pic numpty !

I (f) met a bloke off a different site, he keeps making random excuses why he can't meet again.
The latest was on in China on holiday , he drives buses for EDF, the very next day I spotted him in the drivers seat of one of the buses parked up by pelican crossing.
A totally pointless lie.

Why lie
Nobody’s perfect.
We all have some reason a lie could cover up things.
But you will be found out.
Technology is used here and people lie about location for example. Age is my favourite on another site.
Embrace life. Be fun. Be happy.
Think before you speak.
But be honest as you are mostly lying to yourself. |

Many probably lie as they lack self confidence or just enjoy the thrill of the chase.
Others as they just want some wank fodder or never thought anybody would ever talk to them.
Others lies have grown over time. They have spent a long time getting no response so have slowly edited their profile and pictures to the point it no longer reflects them, but does hit a higher level things women are looking for. |

I think I'm too stupid to lie... I know this because I very nearly gave away my dads birthday surprise when I said see you next week (said I'd be in Yorkshire) thankfully a mate from Sheffield was stood behind him so I could point at him |

Yes..find the lying very frustrating.
This is a swinging site which is a common denominator but all have our boundaries/preferences.
My profile clearly states not interested in meeting married men but the amount who engage in chat and slip this in down the line is infuriating! |

I never understand it. Surely you can't want someone to have sex with you under false pretences or expect them too. From the women I've know this is fairly common place and just results in no sex and a lot of wasted time on both side. |

I've been as honest as I can be. My profile is truthful. It is what it is.
When I joined years ago, I did 'accidentally' lose a few years from my age (can you blame me!), but you know what?, I've had more interest since I became my proper age!!!  |
