Planning on attending a club in the next week or two with a regular playmate of mine. Neither of us have been before but we would really like to try it out. Now ive found a regular guy i get on with really well and trust totally i think im ready for it-I wouldn't go by myself! We would be looking for other couples, a few guys or (unlikely) a single female.
We are in the bristol area but are prepared to travel a little bit, but any advice/tips on what to do, what not to do and where to go(i presume you are allowed to recommend places by name?) Private message me or just post on here-thanks in advance

Lucy,
Ideally go on a couples night, simply because its your first time, and the enviroment is less likely to be overwhelming for you (That's not to say mixed nights can't be fun, they can be great) be when you first start out on the clubbing scene choosing the right club on the right night can be fairly important.
People will have different views on what makes a good club, but there's probably a few small points that most people will agree on -
It's only as good as other people there, the best club in the world would still be shite if you're the only people there.
It should be clean and safe.
The hosts and / or owners should be welcoming and friendly without be intrusive or overbearing.
It should have an atmosphere that is condusive the playing.
The hosts and or owners should make sure the rules of the club are enforced.
We could go on, but even a small club that gets all of the above right will rarely give you a bad night.
If you're prepared to travel then the UK is you're oyster, you have over 75 to choose from, almost 100 if you include the private party network.
For first timers we would recommend the following clubs, mostly on a Saturday evening:
Chameleons
The Vanilla Alternative
Liberty Elite
La Chambre
Ourplace4fun
The first three of these, if you book well ahead can also all offer you on site accomodation.
Closer to you, the best one is a host party called Decadence which is at Burnham on Sea. There is a club called The Office in Bristol, the owners are nice, but the club suffers from a bad location and a limited appeal as a result. (It's also not a good first impression of what is out there)
Hope this helps you.
A and A x
