Yeah I got that last night staying in a hotel near Heathrow. Surely people near major airports must be used to people popping up randomly. Maybe lots of people do use it as an opportunity to meet?! Pizza, film and early bed for me  |

It all depends on what the person they are messaging is after I spose. When I was first on and only looking for a fuck, it worked on the odd occasions when I found them attractive and not a complete tool... Now, when I am playing, I need more than that to make it worth losing playtime with my fwb, so wouldn't bother. |

We’ve messaged people in the past that have been close by and we’ve just been ignored.
We have messaged people on our friends list and asked what they’re up to when we’ve seen their close by!
The only message we’ve knowingly received like that is someone passing on the train (a guy) telling us how lovely my husbands cock is and how he’s love to be sucking it! Lol |

I’ve met only twice using it. Both times were just for a social drink with like minded people.

This has been an education! I guess it entirely depends on the situation and what the person is looking for. Living in a small town, shagging someone nearby is inherently risky - we have a young family - but if we were away from home in a city it would be very different.

Has worked for me on a couple of occasions, probably a 0.02% success rate.
I have a job where I live on the road in hotels so stay somewhere different most nights.
Depends what people are looking for, some don't like playing with locals for fear of meeting in the real world... some like somewhere to go and play...most people just ignore me or tell me to go f*** off lol |

When I am travelling to a place I only ever really use Fabs if I know I'm going to be there a week or longer. Even if its not a sex thing, I like to meet new people and if I am staying somewhere on my own for a couple of weeks for work or whatever then meeting like-minded people off here even if it's just a social, is a nice distraction. |

I’m working away and staying in hotels frequently and would be an ideal way to meet but I’m never sure how much availability I have so never plan to meet. I assume people don’t want me sending messages to meet up at short notice, so never do, besides there’s rarely anyone I fancy on who’s near me anyway. |

It's worked for me a few times.
I work on large events so there are often people there or on their way. I've chatted and met couples and singles, upgraded tickets to VIP and on one occasion a woman I was chatting to was being harassed by a group of guys so I sent security to look after her.
Then on many other occasions I just get blanked! |

At the same time i have had someone in bed beside me showing up as 1/2 mile ... surely they should be touching distance if it was correct |

Yes had it happen to me early Sunday morning after my night out in dunstable and Luton pulled in to this layby logged on and in seconds a guy mailed me so got out my van and walked into the woods and I'm glad I did as this young Asian guy aproched me and let's just say he did not disappoint |

I get this a bit, Hotel about 400 yards from my house is always rammed on Liberty Elite party night's.
Get at least one message like this ever time there is party night, usually couples had a few women toon |

genuinely its hard trying to talk to someone you don't know and going off a picture you like or a blurb they wrote about, its hard to strike up a (interesting) conversation sometimes.
Have i used "were quite close to each other" yes i have. I can't speak for everybody, i'm more of a people person face to interaction works better for me. |

We live near a club (that we don't go to), so naturally we often get messages asking where are we in the club and even some they've paid to come in expecting to see us! Flattering but tough shit |
