I can see why couples end up fighting and having no sex when they’re buying and then doing up their houses. Buying my house was the most stressful 6 months of my life and all I’ve done since is DIY! I’m so exhausted it makes me feel like I don’t want to meet anyone ever again!
I can see why people just spend ££££’s getting the pros to do the work for them, I’m starting to value my time more than the money (that I don’t have anyway)!
Does it get easier?

We're lucky in that we're retired so we can do our house up without trying to fit it in while working. Although it does mean that paying someone else to do things isn't always an option. It's been a great experience for us in the main but if we could we'd happily pay somebody to re lay the driveway and gloss the interior woodwork |

Haha glossing the woodwork is such a pain!! And it seems to be never ending. Although removing my artex walls and attempting to learn how to plaster from YouTube has topped it! I’m glad that you’ve been ok though, I just can’t imagine having to do this with someone else! I think my problem is that I get tunnel vision and can’t stop until a job is done even if I’m going all night and if the other person wasn’t up for that then I wouldn’t want them there! |

Artex is the work of the very devil. We're still a work in progress three and a half years later. I think the most difficult part so far for us has been digging up the concrete path with a kango and mixing the new concrete. Mind you its very good for the figure |
